Declined Ghosting blue delayers (1 Viewer)

In honesty I do agree with everyone else. This suggestion isn’t outlandish but it’d be way too abusable if implemented, as impatient players would try and use it to ghost as soon as they think a BLU is inactive.

Well ghosting is mutable/gaggable now, jumping the gun, and abusing the system would also likely fall under that and still be punishable so I don't see the problem in the end its the players fault for not following the listed guidelines, not the rules fault they didn't follow it. I get the point that people will do it to start with, but if they see that people are punished being careless they will likely stop being so careless. New players will tend to accidentally or purposefully ghost quite often compared to other parties anyways, I mean, they are new, if they haven't taken their time to look through what can get them punished that's entirely their fault, all servers with rules ask you to check the rules, we are no different.

Personally I wouldn't be opposed to having this, some blus are just intentionally asinine in their gameplay and dont care about dead players or honestly even living reds and do delay.

As much as I love the concept, it's just gonna lead to people considering the blues being inactive whenever they deem it, and theres nothing stopping them from ghosting if all they could just say is, oH weLl hE wAs iNactiVe whEn i sEnt thAt
honestly agree with Calassic's sentiment, really want something concrete on when it is actually okay to ghost a delayer if this is implemented.

Going off that, if there is a time how is that going to be enforced? unless you are recording your entire session or when that mode is active its pretty much someone's words vs someone else's words on the time gap

Pretty good point, staff would no longer be able to punish ghosting just by chatlogs and would have to have demo evidence if this is implemented.

For the sake of this, I'm adding a poll since its absolutely needed at this point.

I saw someone say this already but, honestly what does this even mean? Because of how the server works, this is just another everyone in chat spams !calladmin if they see someone continuing to just delay and fuck all
Really it has zero effect on the game

The impatience of players is the only downside I can see, as they want to ghost anyway because they can’t find the last blu. Very rarely do I see a blue hiding in a corner purposely delaying, usually new players or trolls. Either way the downsides overweigh the positives as people will take advantage of the technicalities of this rule. ( players will say anything is delaying just to get the person killed to end the round.)

Hi there, seems good on paper. Why don't we just set a guideline for inactive guards?
Inactive: Sitting in one place hiding from reds and not hunting rebels, Avoiding killing rebels, getting stuck in a minigame and not progressing to leave the game to find rebellers/stick with the warden
Not Inactive: Healing, getting more ammo, Spy Sneakiness (Like a spy trying to lgka), building buildings to set get ammo/health, killing rebels with weapons, killing rebels with minigames
Solution to Ghosting of active blues: This ghosting of active blues can easily be solved by saying, if a guard is inactive for say 1 minute they can be ghosted after a warning to be active. This minute gives time for a guard to defend themselves and point out players who may misunderstand their point to doing something, for example people may say "actively LGKA" in which a blue may use the minute to say on mic "I need ammo, hence why I am building a dispenser, to last guard I need ammo"

He makes a lot of suggestions, but this one isn't too outlandish; it just needs a bit of tweaking to not cause problems.

This pretty much solves 99% of other people's grievances as to why this wouldn't work. They only ever mention how other people's perception would be different and this clears that up really well. Thanks ^^

This isn't a gotcha or anything but I want to point out that time gaps are enforced on this server, with Death requests, or even artificial time gaps made by the warden.
In my experience playing with the "you can ghost delayers" rule, it works really well(people rarely ghosted unfairly), Delayers are ultimately a million times worse than you getting ghosted unfairly, which is still just a theory.
