It turns out a couple of us wildly misread a couple of subtly places key words to show that I was acting up. If you read it as intended it’s really nothing like how I saw it.
Yes I said that and did/still do think that I had some consistent reason on feeling that way, but it wasn’t like that. I promise! We’re all good and I went overboard a tiny little bit.

@ItsNotCalassic fear not. Nostalgia November is saved. discussed it and that was seriously only an idea and not anything like you said. Wip will probably make the cut.


Sorry guys I got amped up because I heard cries for some maps and saw a green list with none of them went in too fast. If you have any quarrels with how I said it then totally cool. I still believe that there was faults here, but it’s not worth writing THAT much over. Let’s talk maps!

Or that long ass message i wrote if you feel so inclined. Just know banana isn’t an evil head honcho. I see what goes on and it’s all with love.

(This is all serious minus the obvious SpongeBob jokes at the start and in the ping of calassic)

Gonna be making a short summary post of Mehgends comment.
Notes:
  1. Will either be rewording to shorten it or directly quote Mehgend
  2. Will be excluding comments which relate on how things are handled. Will however be adding comments which support the suggestion positively.
Summary of Mehgends post
  • There's a difference between permanent adding or having maps for a few days/weeks (depending on duration of event)
  • Nostalgia maps still have the RTV option
  • Include map voting by the community
  • Disagreement about the maps picked by Banana in contrast to Mehgends or others suggestions
    • Example given is the disagreement voting in the past

At least hop v8 plays well and people know they like it. Don't get me wrong, I actually want to see Simple. I see it as a crazy wildcard and would love to see it given a shot on Panda for once.

      And that is if they dislike EVERY SINGLE MAP added, which I frankly find hard to believe. Especially since people tend to be more willing to play on maps that are new to rotation they don't really vibe with (The entire server during area17s honeymoon phase for example)

      It's ok if you don't see nostalgic value in X map or Y version, but we should allow the community to decide that for themselves.

Quickly to clarify for yall, this was a massive misunderstanding on my part. Those two lists were supposed to be combined into one better, possibly longer, list. I didn’t get that feeling when writing all that, obviously, but just for yall to know that the nostalgia will be there.

No need for Aztec to be in the event, I will make another suggestion for its readdiction to the map pool soon.

So just an update with what is going on with this.

I've taken this over to manage. I'll be making a feedback form to really understand what the community wants as there is too many variables to this to keep making a poll for each one.
Not usually how we do this but it'll be a special exception. The form may be privately given out to avoid abuse. If you have voted or commented on this suggestion you will receive the form. Jailbreak staff will also receive it.
If you are in the certain jailbreak discord, you may get it. Depends if they'll let me (they most likely will).

If you are not in either of those 3 categories and wish to be in the feedback form: Make sure you've played panda jailbreak first ;) and then just post underneath here.

Results will be posted publicly on this forum.

Seems im coming back to the server at a good time! And this does seem like a really good idea!
Cant wait to see what ideas are thrown into the rotation!

Big thank you to @Semicolon Backslash and @T0aster for map testing / troubleshooting, including feedback from jailbreak staff and the jailbreak community.

Event will be live either today or tomorrow. I've tried my best to test it in an environment close to USJB, but things may go wrong and this thread will be open to serve as feedback from the community that any of the maps are failing to work / download properly.
It is possible crashes may happen due to them being older maps. If that happens please let me know, but these maps should be stable enough.

Event planned uptime is 1-2 weeks. It will for sure end on the 1st of December 2025.

If this thread's tag is 'Started' it means the event is live.

btw are we gonna have more events like this next year? im intrigued to also try out diffrent maps for the nostalgia november event if it will ever happen again

Made this for the jailbreak community to feedback about the event.

Here is a couple of questions to help you all think about what you should feedback about:

What was good? What was bad?
Do you think it should be hosted again? If so, in November again? Summer?
What would you think we should do differently if it was to be hosted again?
Did you like that older versions of current maps in pool was part of the event or not?

and anything else you all would like to mention, feel free.
