Completed [FF2] Boss replacement for Major Crits - Count Heavinch (1 Viewer)

Why?

Major Crits might be the second most unfun boss to fight, right behind Blightcaller (pre-rework). 15 seconds of ubercharge on rage, absurd amounts of health and insane mobility with his rocket jumps, ontop of all this he deals the same damage from all range due to crits and the sheer spam is almost impossible to dodge.

Count Heavinch:

Health : "(((660+n)*n)^1.04)/3" [660 per player multiplied by 1.04, 3 lifes]

Weapon : Freedom Staff

Instead of jump / teleport: Grapple Hook, destroys instantly upon hitting a player and deals 50 flat dmg on hit. (activate on m2)

Charge ability : Upon holding R, you charge a Powerup which gives you mini-crits on your melee / grapple hook and knockback immunity for 10 seconds.

Rage : Turn into a giant for 10 seconds (could get removed if proves too problematic on small maps), get a temporary better melee weapon and get the defense rune from mannpower for 15 seconds

Lifeloss : Summon 2 types of minions ; up to 3 Tank Heavies and up to 1 Megaheal Medic

Forgot to mention this, but Heavy minions spawn with battalion's backup and medics spawn with MvM defense condition
 
I like Heavnich but he might need some tweaks, when he's implemented we can see through the future changes.
 
Not a fan of these constant replacement/removal suggestions at all. All the bad things you mentioned about Major Crits in your post can be easily changed so the boss is better to play against.

Some people have pointed outside this suggestion that other bosses like Hantsune Miku is already due for removal so there isn't a reason to remove Major Crits.

This is a good boss suggestion, but Crits shouldn't be removed when other freaks are already being removed and others do deserve to be removed more,
If Major Crits wasn't removed for this boss or if a boss more deserving of removal was selected I would change my vote to yes.

As for there being a boss deserving a removal more, I can't imagine ANY boss that deserves to get removed more than this thing.
 
I made a suggestion awhile ago about replacing major crits since I didn't enjoy the playstyle of the hale being a rocket jumping hale but worse in every regard in terms of playing a rocket jumping hale, by suggesting that it be replaced by a rocket jumping hale, that didn't pass but in all honesty major crits can be retweaked to be something better (a proper rocket jumping hale without any of the random spread, slow moving bullshit, market gardening hale with a no damage rocket launcher).
I still think major crits is bad, backup makes him worthless if people actually bother to use it, short circuit and the vaccinator exist, I still speculate that you can sap the hale and maybe the weighdown has been fixed? Rergardless major crits can be refurbished to not be about the aids that is a hale with anything but a melee weapon.
still replacing him wouldn't really be bad, but can still be rewired to be interesting instead of sticking to "lore friendly" guidelines.

Which makes sense to replace those bosses more than replacing a unique boss like major crits as they have already been voted upon to be replaced.
Furthermore I agree with Autismo when he says that the boss can still be reworked to be better, I don't believe a purely market gardening orientated hale could work but I still think there is great potential with Major Crits compared to a boss like Ass Pancakes who is more deserving for the removal as Ass Pancakes is a less effective version of Painis Cupcake.

if not a market gardening hale, I just thought of two options:
retweaking the rage to be summons, minions with crit rocket launchers but have a 85% damage reduction, 3 hp health decay (so you couldn't just camp and spam rockets), on kill: heal for 50 hp and have 80%? self blast damage resistance, 60% primary ammo reduction, 13% ammo regen on wearer.
other option is to give major crits something else, maybe a ion cannon potentially, his rage is just a flat uber and people already avoid the daylights out of him, a large aoe of 1000 with a damage of 600 (might seem like a bit much but this is in consideration with the ion cannon taking 8 to 10 seconds long).

I don't think we should discuss potential reworks here,
The point we should be trying to make is that Major Crits shouldn't be removed for this boss.
 
As Heavy stated keep new boss suggestions in a different thread, i preferably not have to read billions of text that is about a completely new boss inside a thread that is about replacing/removing a boss. If we were to change Major Crits Jr into a completely new kit, that would just make him completely unfun to play against, more unfun than the current Major Crits Jr.
Since people don't like the slow rockets and him rocket jumping and what else comes through their mind, it would just make him a OP boss and not really fun to fight against IF we were to give him changes that would suit him the most.
Major Crits Jr has become quite the lackluster after a bit. Fighting him makes me rather want to go to sleep.

So basically what I get from all this, it's not the hale that's bad but the idea of removing Major Crits?

If we were to change Major Crits Jr into a completely new kit, that would just make him completely unfun to play against, more unfun than the current Major Crits Jr.

not that people dislike the rocket jumping, just that it's utterly stupid to play with and against, the random spread and slow rockets makes the jumping unnecessarily harder to preform since you're limited to hugging walls to doing stupid ground crouched rocket jumps into rng syncs, better yet with it you can't rocket skip, sync normally, it's not even beggar's jumping, it's a gimmicky style of rocket jumping that I don't enjoy and every person under the sun would just prefer a normal rocket jumping hale.
the hale no matter how it's done up will end up having problems, long as the hale sticks to the formula of being just a major crits knock-off I don't see much enjoyment with it and people will probably continue to play the hales that're just straight to the point (mlg spy, dic soupcan, any hale that falls under the same umbrella that're strong still) or people that'll abuse the mobility of the hale as it is; mcjr is a specialist sort of hale requiring a subset of skills already existing to rocket jumping, but made tedious by what I presume is till in effect (weighdown when crouching plus looking down) and random spread with the effects of slow rockets making the hale more annoying to play as, add to the fact that it's a ranged weaponised hale which I think doesn't work very well for anything hale related, the rage doesn't need to be changed but currently the way this hale works isn't doing it any favours, unqiue but flawed because of the need to stick to the "lore" or trying to be inoffensive with changes, I would've by now just straight up removed the weighdown on the hale and retweaked the rocket launcher to be stock with crit rockets with a 55% damage reduction plus 5% ammo regen, but that's something for another thread.
