So what do you think takes the most skill in Team Fortress 2?

Leave your response in the comments or whatever of what you think takes the most skill. I'll leave my opnions here.

Scout- Scout in my opnion takes a decent amount of skill to function. You can't just click the class and run in the middle of the battlements and expect to go on a 15 killstreak. As a scout, you have low health but you are quite fast. You could use this to flank a team and whipe their medics out.

Solider- Solider is on-the-fence for me. You can always just blindly shoot rockets into a choke point and kill atleast one person. But soliders' rockets can help you move around, like rocket jumping.

Pyro- No skill what-so-ever. Jokes aside, I can respect a pyro that can do some really sick combos'. (Not the reserve shooters, post jungle-inferno). But most new players just click on it to w+m1 which does put out a good damage output, but really doesn't involve much in doing.

Demo- Demo is like solider, but more trickier to master or take skill at. Demos' pipes and stickies can be used at your advantage to move around the map more. Landing pipes is tricky depending on the weapon. Loch-n-load is easier as the time it takes to explode is less than stock.

Heavy- Heavy is like pyro, but with less momentum. As heavy, you can just sit in one corner and just spray down a team, or jump into the battlements and just mow everyone down. Sure, heavy does put out alot of damage, but at the end of the day. For me, heavy is just a slightly mobile sentry.

Engineer- Engineer takes a some skill. Good dispencer and sentry placement can help out the team. I don't really have much to say on engineer that I can think of atm.

Medic- Medic is kinda eh. Medic's main goal is to heal his teammates back to health and help with a push, using any of the medi-guns. Meta is the cross-bow, which really doesn't take much skill to use, as it's comparable to the huntsman. Melees' are normally the uber-saw. Which has a critrate so high, their might as well be tf2 melee.

Sniper- Sniper just sits back and and headshots enemies from the across the map. A good sniper can annoy you and your team hard, so in my opnion, does take skill. Which is a rare case.

Spy- Oh boy, so spies post jungle-inferno were really annoying to deal with as they normally used the ambi, and was a basically a low-hp sniper. But after the update, a good spy can demolish your team if you're not careful.

Every class does take a certain amount of skill to master. So take my opnions with a grain of salt.

Demo and spy probably requires the best skills. Every other class is pretty straight forward, however demo and spy requires a more tactical and strategic approach.
I might be biased but I also think engineer is one of the more strategic classes, but this depends on if you're offensive or defensive. If you're playing engi offensively, it's definitely one of the hardest classes. If you're on the defensive, it's arguably top 3 easiest classes to play.

Demo? what demo do you mean Beamsy? the "double primary wep spam" demo? nah just joking. :D

Im looking allways at one specific point when someone ask this, how many counter classes does one class have.
Pretty sure everyone points at the Medic because every class can counter him easly or with not much effort.
Even in Ubercharge mode he still has one counter class.
Also most time he is the target Number one on the field cuz healing powers.

yes thats the point, as a medic u need be aware of anything everywhere at anytime, its not like ma boi soldier where i can go arround the cornor and blast the enemy away, the medic knows dat death is everywhere, also u not only need to master ur survival arts you also need to master the healing of ur team(u fight 31 enemies not just 12).
I say, yes the medic needs the most skills and also the most nerves to play.
I can pick any class and turn it into a complete utter weird crap time with the right music but i never manage to do that with the medic longer then 20mins.

I believe that soldier has the highest skill cap. The combination of difficulty hitting airshots and the amazing mobility tf2 brings allows the class to be incredibly fun and rewarding when played well.

However, to play with the maximum effectiveness, meaning like the ability to really change the tide of a game and being a real team destroyed I believe spy has the hardest time doing this.

Heavy is hard, but that's only because the class itself doesn't really have a lot of potential. His only effective play style is just running around corners and jumping while revving up your minigun, trying not to overextend as you're too slow to retreat. Sure you can play fat scout or melee, but come on. You'd better just play scout/pyro/soldier/engie and demoknight respectively.

Strategically I think spy might be have most skilled players. It's a glass cannon when you get behind enemy lines and that is an entire art in of itself.
So are the other support classes though (medic & sniper) because their main purpose isn't just to push and kill everyone.

Demoman has the biggest power gap between unskilled and skilled players IMO. People who don't know how to play as demo usually suck at being effective as him (in contrast to soldier or pyro) while people like b4nny are insane as they can optimize the incredibly damage output demo has.
