To me in that clip it just looks like they used a red secret to go over there

Reviewing the clip, I'm gonna say Melody maybe knew about the Sniper rebelling and used the secret for quick transportation. I don't know for sure but in the end they managed to kill a rebeller, so I wouldn't consider it delaying in the end. Since the intentions aren't entirely clear I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and let them off.
