Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Ladies & Gentlemen. Today I was to suggest a rule chance for Panda trade 25 which I believe will do the server some good.

The rule I want to change is:
Do not build Sentryguns on the ledge, above spawn.
Sentries on the roof above spawn is still permitted, as long as it does not have a line of sight to the spawn exits.

Reasons:

This rule firstly seems kind of useless. Yes, we do get many sentries on the ledge but why is that a bad thing. A trading server is meant for Trading, not for deathmatch or competitive gameplay. The sentry on the ledge rule is often overlooked by new players, making our community often seem very hostile towards newer players. Now I am not saying that having loads of sentries on the ledge is fun for everyone. It can often be very annoying if not properly equipped to defeat it. Yet for some reason people overlook the fact, there are 3 different exits out of spawn. Then 2 shots of a direct hit will destroy the sentry.

This rule is just not needed. We would have more regular members and fewer problems with newer players getting banned. Yes, it isn't perfect but you have to remember that every nest is beatable. If it does get out of hand then a nuke can be set off using the maze. Or just play dirty and red tape them. It is fun and the trading community is not in need of such a strict rule. If it bothers players so much they can just use an alternative exit provided.

Thanks for the read

The ones that break this particular rule are 90% the same ones that don't know how trading even works as a function of Steam. Don't see a reason to remove a clear, working rule.
Haven't seen any noticeable decrease in online player numbers since this rule was introduced, if something there has been a higher % of actually sentient people instead of the ones with 2hrs played on tf2 finding a funneh minecraft map in this f2p game their parents told they bought for them on their bday

Why is it then that you believe these people aren't welcome in our community? Yes they may be annoying but the rule literally just acts as a barrier to fun. The trade server is actually meant to you know just be for trading. Putting barriers on the server just kinda ruins the fun. Yes, rules such as mic spamming and other clear acts should be regulated but something like sentries on the ledge is just a fun gameplay mechanic not needed.

1 - Nuke only kills players, not buildings. Considering it's a nest, there will be teleporters up to their sentries.
2 - Who's to say only engineers will be up on that ledge? You can have half your team up there defending it.

All your points assume trade is a competitive server for kills. It is just stupid if people get salty about it. If you actually play the trade server you get a really mixed bag but it is fun to try and beat them

Someone should just add a poll to this.
