Server you are applying for

US Jailbreak.

General online times & time zone

GMT.
I am online around 3-5 hours a day, maybe more.
I am usually readily available from 14:00 - 02:00 (2PM - 2AM)

Do you have a working microphone?

My headset is currently on the verge of breaking, I am planning on getting a new one.
The microphone works as intended but sometimes deactivates and requires me to
relaunch the game.

Previous experience as Admin or Moderator

I do not have any previous experience nor have I submitted any previous applications.

What would you say makes you a suitable candidate?

I am consistently active on the Jailbreak server and have a good grasp of the rules. I have clipping software and I have been using it to report wrongdoings
of many rulebreakers so far, which some reports take a while to go through. I believe that if I were to become a staff member I would be able to quickly and
effectively issue correct punishments instead of making reports and having to wait for rulebreakers to be punished. I also like to keep an eye on the forums to see if
any new reports come through.

- Although I may not know how to effectively moderate as I have no prior experience I am willing and eager to learn.
- I do not have any bad rep with members of the community as I like to keep an open mind.
- I can provide another unique viewpoint on difficult situations and I believe I am a good judge.
- I can keep a record of punishments using my clipping software in order to provide proof of wrongdoings when issuing punishments.
- I am unbiased and will be able to issue punishments regardless of my relation with the rulebreaker.

Hello Kry.

I think this application is a great start but seems to be a little too short and doesn't give us a clear way of knowing on how you'd punish people/handle situtions.

Take a look at some other accepted applications in the archive and provide a punishment ladder. We arent looking for a clear cut copy and paste ladder, we are looking for a ladder in which you would find yourself using.

Once thats done i feel like we can take your application towards the next steps

Thank you for your response and suggestions.
I have personalized a punishment ladder using previous passed applicants as reference.

When it comes to guard/warden players who are unaware of the rules they are breaking, I will urge them to swap to red team to play and learn the rules at a normal pace, or direct
them to the rules so they can learn and continue their play. If they continue to break rules playing as a red, or after they say they read the rules, I will then follow through with my punishment ladder.

^ I will also do the same for players on red who don't understand the rules they may be breaking

Hello Kry, before I give my vote or any further feedback I just want to get an idea of how you would personally handle some situations.

Below are three videos from some old reports, simply tell me how you would handle each situation.

Some things to think about are
  • When to take action?
  • Who to take action against?
  • What would be the appropriate action(s) to take?

In case it helps with your decisions assume that all players have had no prior offenses. Use the modern jailbreak ruleset when making decisions.

Clip 1: In regards to the first clip, I think I would be pretty lenient. The person IOM-Landon is micspamming and should be warned to not continue micspamming as it is disrupting the play of others and is quite annoying. I would direct them to the rules if they didn't understand what they were doing wrong. If they continued micspamming after my warnings I would issue a 180 minute mute. During the clip I also noticed one or two people in chat being rude or insensitive, "Landon stop having downs pls", so I would also ask them to not to be rude in situations like these and simply report them or call an admin instead.

Clip 2: Reviewing the second clip I can see that the user Uncle Fungus mass freekills. The warden issues his first command before the cell doors open, which is cut off but can barely be heard at the beginning of the clip which means none of the obeying reds are KOS (This confused me on my first watch as I didn't quite catch the end of his first command). The clip is confusing as Uncle Fungus says "oh shit" as he slays and leaves after mass freekilling which would lead me to believe that it was accidental. But I can only help but feel that disconnecting makes him look more suspicious of intentionally mass freekilling as staying and owning up to your mistakes would be a better solution. I would give Uncle Fungus the benefit of the doubt and punish him for an unintentional mass freekill, though I would give him a 24 hour guard team ban due to him disconnecting and not facing what he did wrong.

Clip 3: The third clip shows a micspammer named The King Over who later in the clip goes on to say the Hard R. For this offense I would issue a 360 minute mute. In the same clip we see a warden who says the command "open cells and go on yellow line" as the cell doors are opening, so I like to give the young warden the benefit of the doubt and say the order was given before the cell doors opened. Because of this the complying reds should not be KOS. Yoda goes on to freekill a red or two and for this I would give Yoda a warning in chat / through the admin announcement feature.

The red YonkerBlonk doesn't comply with the order and instead attempts to attack a blu so I believe he was KOS and his death was not a freekill, however the same blu The King Over goes on to freekill three non-rebelling reds which I would treat as unintentional mass freekill as I don't believe he is aware of the rules. For this I would issue a 120 minute guard team ban. I would direct The King Over to the rules after issuing this guard team ban. Yoda goes on to freekill another non-rebelling red the following round which I would issue a second warning for, and I would tell them what they did wrong and direct them to the rules as well.

After the warden dies the non-rebelling reds should be considered freedays. Because of this, LittleCadaver freekills 4 non-rebelling freedays. LittleCadaver doesn't appear to know the rules so I would direct him to the rules and if he's willing to, discuss with him what he did wrong. I would then issue LittleCadaver a 2 hour guard team ban.

At the end of the clip Misaka Misaka is toxic toward the unintentional massfreekiller LittleCadaver through voice chat. For this I would ask Misaka Misaka to stop being toxic and instead leave the rulebreakers for the admins to deal with.

I apologise if this is too cluttered or difficult to read.

Stacking is a bit off but ultimately that can't be helped if you have no knowledge of how we handle our stacking beforehand. Overall, you have a good history in terms of reports and I don't really see any issues with your sessions either, you seem to be a nice presence when on the server. Your responses to banana's clips are fine. Although I want to know why you over all the other candidates. This application season has some really strong candidates. Prove to me and the rest of the team that you have a the capacity to stand alongside the stronger candidates. I'm staying Neutral for now.

Gonna just stay Neutral for now. I have not experienced any problems with you but have not seen you much, and as Krookadile has said, we have some really strong candidates right now that are tough to compete aganst.

Loving the responses, I really like the way you approach situations charitably, I hope I can see more of this with your warnings in game, its always a balance.
I support this application, obviously it might not be as strong as the others but you can easily build your repertoire during the review process, you have the best sessions of any applicant so I hope its only a matter of time before you get panda street cred.
Keep up the good work x)

You know what, yeah I agree. I think actually having a new jb reg on the team would allow you to provide valuable insight not many of us old heads would. Bumping my response to a strong +1. Keep it up.

Hi Kry, you actually seem really chill and very professional, I have seen you in-game before a little bit and had no issues with you. Your sessions are very nice, I do hope to see more of you, keep at it and I can totally see you becoming an admin. +1

I will upgrade my vote to a +1 and piggyback off the others as I have observed you are a good reporter and have good sessions (although don't go too overboard with them). Good luck.

With you joining the community less than a month ago i think you might be a little bit too green to be trusted with admin and would feel much more comfortable with you perhaps going through another cycle in order to build up the needed experience. The almost 11hr sessions are also somewhat concerning and shows clear signs of potential future burnout. -1

Hi Kry!

Responses to the clips were good.

You were very friendly in-game, I saw you were helping a blu and directing them to the rules.

Your sessions however are a bit concerning as Cowboy said, so I’m hoping you would relax a bit so you can avoid potential burnout.

Goodluck! +1

Howdy Kry, your responses were good, but I haven't seen you around. That being said, I trust my fellow admins and am fine with handing you a +1
