Tho I don’t believe throwing in another option the poll would be wise given how it would split the vote even further, would a good compromise be it can only be played with 3 or less blues?
I think this is a respectable position that
Kron made us vote on in his previous suggestion. I already provided a simple explanation of how my restriction would prevent spam of the minigame. I figured brevity and simplicity would be a more convincing position to the people who consider Simon Says an enjoyable minigame(I was able to change the votes of a few people from the last suggestion). The reason why I excluded extra restrictions was because I doubted that such restrictions would even be considered tolerable by people who despise Simon Says. Most who vote to remove it think it's entirely inconsistent with our made up rules or just strictly hate the minigame. Then most who vote "LR only" do so simply to appease the crowd who really does like Simon Says.
It really is just public opinion, so the best thing I can do is try to change people opinions. Though I don't think I can convince the Fly Engie's who just wanna play parkour minigames or the rules lawyers who use the rules try to justify their distain. I've already convinced people who actually dislike Simon Says (
Alexander and
Krook) to vote more honestly.
Hopefully others like
PistolPoppin who argues spam as their main issue can be convinced to change their mind either with the spam prevention like I originally proposed, or further restrictions like
Calassic and
Kron bring up.
Here's another argument trying to convey why Simon Says sucks how it is currently.
Mass trivia isn't LR only. Forcing a warden to do mass trivia is fine, but objectively mass trivia will be better executed by a warden who wants to do it. So mass trivia is better as a non LR minigame by that argument. Same rules apply for true or false and numerous custom minigames.
Logic follows that Simon Says would be better executed as a non LR minigame. Add to this the repeats added with the new plugin only functioning when there is no LR.
Conclusion: Simon Says is at its worst as an LR and there isn't much reason to keep it if it's LR only. (At least from opposition, some of those who like Simon Says would probably want to keep it if possible(not me))
Random additional points: FF minigames are allowed with certain restrictions, why not Simon? It could have a guard limit or be limited to an area like arena or disco. Would these restrictions change your vote?
Pokémon Day, Theatre, Hunger Games, and Hide and Seek are much more braindead LRs to execute for wardens, and simply knowing the rules and commands of the gamemode informs you how to play them. Simon doesn't follow this pattern and I find comparisons that describe them as "equally difficult" to be disingenuous.
