Pretty simple, I think jb is based around risk, reward, and accountability depending on how you want to play whether its following orders, or wanting to rebel each is its own valid way of playing JB. I say accountability because part of playing blu is paying attention, If I successfully manage to escape and blu is none the wiser, my reward is ammo and the prospect of getting a chance to rebel against the blu team who wasnt paying attention or was distracted, what ruins that balance is the complete bail out of ammo alerts so everyone who reads chat (blu team) all the sudden know that someone got away and is in armory, or secret. im not saying rebelling is some grand accomplishment that deserves a big reward I just think that taking away any responsibility that blu is accountable for by giving them a golden ticket or participation trophy just by reading chat.

I understand what im about to say is purely anecdotal, but Im sure other people can relate to this if they read it and feel like they were equally cheated. I have had more times collecting ammo after disappearing for minutes at a time with noone pursuing only to have blu suddenly rush over the armory or vocally go "oh shit hes rebelling, go check armory." when I could have easily gotten away with it otherwise. imo jb would be so much more interesting if reds could grab ammo and somehow meld back into the non rebeller crowd because they played right and blu didnt get rewarded for being negligent and or not paying attention.

unrelated, a team counter exist at the top of the screen so managing AWOL reds is taken care of if you can count.

Added a poll. Assuming the main action you want rebel status messages to be removed for is collecting ammo that's what I've made the poll reflect.

I'm actually not against this, I do think it would allow rebellers to be a lot more stealthy and I don't think it'll breed freekilling as unless they have read the chat, most BLUs don't just kill REDs they think have ammo unless they actually see them pull out a gun. However, I should mention I've had moments where I've collected ammo and it didn't display me having rebel status, so I don't know if that's intentional or not considering it doesn't happen all the time.

Part of what makes panda great is how we don’t deal with the usual buffers and arguments of other communities. Having rebel status is ESSENTIAL to that. It ends so many conflicts and it makes the game way easier to play.
Not to mention how we don’t have rewardening, it’s important on a balance level. I strongly oppose this.

you dont have a beacon brah. the guards only know where you were at the moment the rebel message was sent. you can still surprise them

i shall refer to this image.

in all seriousness, my vote goes to a
no, don't change
my opinions reflect Banana's in every way. having unnecessary discussions about what counts as rebelling and when a person is KOS or not is what irritates me about other servers, mostly because they can be pardoned too. this is one of the things that panda is really crystal clear about, and i dont want that to change.

ill give reasons for why for both teams:
BLU - Why it's helpful
- you can easily scroll back up in chat to see who was KOS or not
- BLU team forgets who rebelled very easily so having a sort of backup can be nice
- it's not a guessing game as to which exact RED was KOS again, you can just look up their name

RED - Why it's helpful
- during the time that BLUs are scrolling up in chat you can sneakily run off or pick off one or more BLU team member(s)
- i mean sure it basically seals your fate to have your name be printed in chat that you're KOS, however as a fellow red you can more easily snitch on other reds if you'd be into that kinda thing (i know that i sure hate it)
- it does separate the rebellers from the fair players, meaning if someone who looks exactly alike to you for whatever reason (maybe for a bit, having the exact same cosmetics or both having none) then BLUs will still be able to identify who of the two rebelled and who did not via your name

Your suggestion requires the current blus to have any sort of ability for critical thinking or reading, you´d be surprised how often Blus just completely ignore chat or for example when a heavy tauntkills one of their guards.

And (thats a big IF) IF this somehow comes into consideration with removing the message, give them a PERMANENT rebellerglow.

"I've collected ammo and it didn't display me having rebel status" that happens when ammo respawns and you take it.

I think this mostly depends on maps, on smaller maps with few ammo secrets it can feel really oppressive, but the majority of the time I think its beneficial to have, makes it so blues stand a chance against snipers on big long maps, and it's very beneficial for making sure you get the right wrap assassin scout
TLDR does more good than harm imo, and is only impactful to rebelling on very small maps
