as was said in this forum post, i will be discontinuing any future work on jb_galaxy.
however, as was said on the PandaJB unofficial discord server:

now im curious what the community thinks.

my proposal is, that instead of adding the more unstable recent versions (as in, more prone to server crashing), we add jb_galaxy_v1; the most stable version so far.
however, this version isn't perfect, far from it. there's plenty of minigames that are broken, the trickstab circle is accessible waaayyy too easily from main cell area, and overall its just not the work im most proud of.

so! dear community, im curious, what do we do?

Though I still have my issue with how easy it is to rebel on Galaxy, it is one of the more unique JB maps created. I would love to see it's legacy still in Panda

Alright fellow citizens, let me clear.
I am down for V1 coming back, GIVEN it is a placeholder.
One day I want to see V3 truly come to be its own, but these things take time.

I say bring it back

Galaxy is a weird map for me as it's probably the only map with so many unique flaws that, combined with the shenanigans of certain players, has warped into being a map I ironically enjoy. I will say yes to adding v1 back because of that.

Actually as this is a pseudo feedback form, make a V1.1.

Take the nerfed cell secret from the newer versions, and then keep the rest as-is as to not jank-up Source's spaghetti code.
I.E no star hopper and the other additions from V2.

I'd be fine with adding it back, but only if this replaced the original. The pipe was by far my biggest complaint about galaxy.

ill touch Galaxy one last time to move that pipe out of cells. anything else?

I think that's the biggest contention, the rest is all personal taste.
So either go with your own judgement or leave the rest unchanged.

I see no real problem in adding it. It might become one of those maps that people rtv just for the sake of rtving which would be sad, but its not necessarily a bad map. Source is hard and sometimes you do all that you can do. I wouldnt mind playing this on regular rotation, even though I know someones just gonna instant nominate bind the second they load in.

Personally I'd prefer not seeing it making a come back. Even with the cell TP secret removed / nerfed the super jump plus the jump stars PLUS the ammo next to jumprope make it way too easy to rebel or kill the Warden mega early. Other than that I did like the minigames from the map. But then again, the rebelling issues are too annoying for me to want it play on it again. Most memories I have of Galaxy is me sitting in my chair as Demo waiting for the Warden to inevitably die within a minute then do nothing until the round ends one way or another... for the whole 40 minutes.

Warday is nearly impossible to pull off because it takes forever to get into armory to begin with if memory serves right, that is IF the in-server playerbase even knows how to open it to begin with.

That'll have to be a No from me, sorry.

I don't think I would mind seeing it preserved on the server because I think aside from very minor nitpicks I think Galaxy is a very well-crafted map visually and I can tell a lot of love went into it.
