So I'll admit most of my suggestion just come to me only mere hours before I post it, but this one is actually one I've been debating doing for months now. I've been debating whether it was even going to be worth it to do a suggestion for this map; I know this will probably attract a lot of defenders, but please hear me out and consider the reasons why I personally think Jailfort deserves to be considered for removal.

- Visually unappealing: This map really just isn't that appealing to look at. It's just a very gray, dull-looking map.
- No standout minigames: The minigames on this map are all basic, none of them standout in any way. None of them really having anything to give them a unique edge. To me, this is a similar problem to Complex. The most standout minigame on this map is probably Karts, but even then better versions exist on better maps like Mlcastle and Colors, alongside better racing minigames with a more unique playstyle like on District and Miami.
- About rebelling: To my knowledge there are no major ammo secrets on this map besides the one in the secret entrance to Armory near Steady Pace. The round-ending secret is also a 50/50 chance for REDs to actually succeed as the boat you take to escape has a chance of exploding, which feels cheap for all that effort. All the other round-ending secrets to my knowledge guarantee REDs victory if they pull it off correctly.
- Bugs: This map has a few bugs and problems that, thanks to the next reason listed below this one, are probably never gonna see a fix. Karts has quite a few that particularly pertain to the bridge and it's ability to be lifted up, be it getting stuck in it, being dropped down into the race course which automatically puts you into kart mode, and the fact that it can hurt you too, leading to multiple cases of bridge abuse. Steady Pace has a bug where you can get ahead of the motivator, and there's also one where REDs standing outside right up to the door when it's closed can be killed by the spawning motivator if the game is started. The yellow doors you have to hit the buttons to open are also really annoying to deal with given how small the buttons, the fact they close and open so quickly, and that they can damage you. The Hunger Games control panel room near Dodgeball is also highly campable as you can block the door from opening by just standing in front of it. I believe there are probably more bugs that I am not aware of or forget as well.
- This map has not been updated since 2015 or 2016: The fact that this map hasn't received an update or overhaul or anything in almost a decade makes it feel outdated compared to so many other maps in our pool.

TLDR - Jailfort just feels like a relic of the past to me and I feel it's time to put it to rest, but I'm sure there will be a sizeable amount of defenders for this map, so I'm taking a chance to see if this map is worthy of leaving or staying.

This map kinda sucks

For some reason it feels extremely cramped and at the same time so open.
The round end secret makes any of those panels the only viable warday spot.
Blus can just stand up on the high ground during normal tounds and be near impossible to kill by rushing.
There is a rebel secret right next to armory that can be accessed in 3 seconds.
There is zero uniqueness to this map other than the island aesthetic and round end secret.
The amount of bugs makes it annoying to do some stuff (except skipping the motivator that one is fun)

Overall, the map feels rather clunky to move around on as red, but also annoying as blu as you have to babysit the reds the whole round.
Unfortunately these issues will not be fixed unless someone makes a remake, and the map being “old” does not excuse these issues, espicially now.

Yeah excuse my message from before but absolutely no jailfort is a legend map don’t wanna hear nothing bout it

Jailfort is literally one of the very few maps we have that follows the tf2 style, you’re tripping. The only real issues jailfort has is that it’s pretty cramped and you can exploit with karts, neither of which makes it worth removing imo.

We should focus on trying to remove maps that are actually bad like crossroads and underjail

If it had the possibility of getting removed, updated to fix some issues to eventually come back would be ideal. But as I see it, and as you have stated yourself, it hasn't been updated since 2016 so this will be a highly unlikely scenario. I'm opting to keep it in as it is one of the most iconic jailbreak maps to date, alongside hopjb, snowday, and casuarina (as well as others i haven't mentioned).

I've cried that Jailfort sucks for almost a year now. Its boring, almost no good or stand out minigames, and karts makes me wanna rip my hair out... but remove it? Eh. I dont care either way honestly.
Voted no just to see if something will happen, but I'd be surprised if this was removed.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!
This map actually sucks so much, and I am tired of pretending it doesn't.

1. This map is one of the very few that actually follows TF2's artstyle..?? If that's ground for removal I can think of quite a few other maps that does not fit that criteria and therefore needs to be removed...
2. This is a problem with many other maps.
3. Yeah getting ammo can get a little limited, but you have the one in the mines and one in the round-ending secret. I agree that it can be a little lacking, but I've also seen many failrounds caused by the mineshaft ammo-pack alone.
4. Fair enough, but a lot of those bugs are known and also somewhat easy to work around if anything. I don't think I've seen a failround caused by any bugs lately?
5. I'll agree on that point about how sucky it is that there hasn't been any updates... but it's not enough for me to consider its removal.

I'll vote NO on the map's removal for now and I believe we should look at maybe removing some other maps (XMF and Crossroads, for example).

Jailfort is what I like to call the plain white bread of jailbreak. Sure, it's a bit boring but it's fine and can be nice from time to time.

So I'm voting no to remove it.

Xmf hate will NOT be tolerated

Love this map.
So a massive no from me

Why jailfort, there are so many worse offenders.
Sure the rebeller options are lacking and shitty wardens doing steadypace every single round isn't fun. But it's not rtv fodder, oftentimes gets fully played out. Rarely ever kills servers. Why remove this over maps that actively kill the player count.

personally i don't really enjoy this map either but i don't think any of the reasons given are strong enough for the map to be removed. i feel like a lot of the points you made could describe lots of maps in rotation like casuarina, stormfront, albany, etc.
if people are mostly annoyed with this map due to exploits/bugs maybe it would be better to focus on small fixes for them instead of removing the map.
