But wouldn't that ruin the whole point of sniper?
No, it would force snipers to actually push up a bit instead of sitting in a corner and sniping from 10 miles away.
But that hurts the enjoyability of sniper!!
Look me dead in the eyes and tell me getting insta killed from across the map is fair and balanced.
But what about snipers bad unlocks like Syndey Sleeper, or the Classic?
Those items are both fundamentally flawed (epsecially the sleeper) and need HUGE balance changes. For now we say casualty of war.

They don't deserve rights, and they pmo sooooooooooo.

I'm not saying any crazy damage falloff, just enough to where he wouldn't be able to 0.4 second quickscope instakill a medic or 1 shot a max overheal heavy.

Sniper should be changed fuck this stupid class being able to lock down entire parts of a map from a safe distance

bro what do you want panda to do about it lol, sniper has been that way for 18 years. the way to counter it is in map design, not nerfing the character

i have a feeling this is like one of the most discussed things under the sun, not even on forums, but in general for JB
its so shit having a nice rebelling match, then getting blasted from miles away by a scout with a winger doing like 54 damage per shot
im p sure the only reason its not been added is because ummm coding issues ig? well theres 100% crit servers with damage falloff and they are hella fun (i play on some so i would know)

crit damage falloff is an INCREDIBLE decision because it allows for rebellers to run away fairly as opposed to being beamed from a lightyear away. It still keeps the game fair as lets say a sniper goes for a bodyshot (on blu, not scoped in), they will get punished by having dealt less damage, but if they hit a scoped hs, they get a hefty 150 damage!! same goes in short range ; you hit you win, you miss you die! even without crits its the same!!! i get its to make stuff fair in a 2:17 scenario but just because of that, why should it be the same for a 1:2 ratio (as in 5:10 or 10:20)
 
also i am very well aware my last post was based on general damage fall off as opposed to only sniper falloff
