1)Removal of razorback making you kos if a red breaks it, well honestly its not a big deal to remove it and warden can simply give an order "stay out of my melee range".

2)Lethal taunting on blu, nothing will change if this gets removed, if a blu kills anyone thats a freekill (if a red forced it well it's not)

3)Meat Grinder is custom lr only, no one does meatgrinder anymore expect @Semicolon backslash if people dislike it cause it can end rounds fast maybe add something like you can only do meatgrinder after 3-4 minutes passed.

4)Somehow fix chretien rules, since now vandalism is allowed chretian rules are messed up since they mention breaking the elevators is kos there are more examples in chretien rules.

5)Add a rule regarding warday only warden/blues decide where the blue safe spot is to prevent any uncomfortable/cramped areas such as red side of fall game.

You can break chretien panels but if you take the elevator you’re KOS as that is a blue spawn. Even if it’s not the actual armory that above room and the armory are kos places for reds.


I don’t think the people who have voted realize why the Razorback was made KOS to begin with

Razorback being KOS was added simply bc sapping/destroying an engineers dispenser or teleporter was KOS, so the Razorback was essentially the “building” to a sniper that can be destroyed. So In reality making the Razorback not KOS would contradict the fact that breaking another classes building would still be KOS.


You’re explanation of lethal taunting on blue makes sense but I’m not even sure that there is a specific thing in the blue rules of the JB rules that says blues can’t do it. Like you said It’s just freekill if they do.


Meat grinder was made lr only bc if cell wars is only allowed with 3 or less blues that at the very least meatgrinder would be 2 or less blues, but we decided to make it lr only. It’s already been agreed upon that spots that trap blues in a game or are too small can be denied, such as any red side game that can be closed, or a small blue side game

Meatgrinder: has you actual do a normal round and requires you and your blues to take reds to a suitable location giving them time to rebel.

Cellwars: just make sure that number of blues is below 3 and yeet that ff button now you have 2 reds making it near impossible to rebel and also disallowing over half the server from actually playing the game.

Imo just give meatgrinder same restrictions as cellwars and disallow them both being played in the same round

I like this idea but if you mean 3- blus to do meatgrinder maybe not maybe increase the amount of blus or something.
 
Like I said if anything were to be changed it would simply be that meatgrinder could happen with maybe 2 or 1 person on blue

Legit the first 2 suggestions wont change anything if they get removed rofl, meatgrinder never was an issue before when it was not lr only and all the people always did meatgrinder when there was not much time.
 
Well it was because it didn’t have a restriction when cell wars did. You could do meatgrinder at any time with any amount of blues which was why we had a discussion about “should it be like cell wars with a #of people on blue restriction or make it lr only” so we went with the later

When was last time someone did cell wars :thinking: no one does that anymore cause they know its not fun and as people call it "dick move" to do it, same kinda goes for meatgrinder before people would do meatgrinder at the last 3 minutes cause they dont have time, its not an issue if you think its an issue meatgrinder can have a limit after 5 minutes has passed.
 
Meat Grinder = cell wars, but with only 1 survivor (small possibility of a failround with boston basher/shiv) and later into the round.
I think meat grinder is a stupid game and should never be played during a normal round, as it's literally just swinging you melee and hoping people don't hit you first. It's a cheap chance based game designed to end rounds quickly with no fun or challenge for reds. A large part of the jailbreak experience is the minigames, so why would you instantly end the round just for the sake of ending the round? Where's the fun in that?

Even if you've already done a minigame beforehand, are you really just going to let it end with a chance based game? I see no scenario in which this is necessary anyway. The most popular minigames don't nearly require full round time, while theater and dinner usually take way too long and you can't settle it midway with a meatgrinder, as that would be unfair to the people who didn't do the previous minigame.

You can't just settle a round with a game like this. You're trying to be "efficient" in a fucking community gamemode. Have fun for once.
9square and 4corners are enough for the chance based games.
 
The votes are in. Could we possibly get any opinions from jailbreak admins @ZeroPC, @PNN and @Roar before we let the jb team decide what they want to do with this thread? (if you guys have anything to say that is, naturally)

Yes! Remove it, warden can give one simple order to prevent it.

Why not just remove the vandalism rule itself? Making vandalism not KOS was just something we wanted to test out when we added it. I have nothing against removing it.

If you ask me, weird we have not added this as a rule already. Good feedback!

I like this new path where regulars makes legit suggestions rather than trashtalking it in shoutbox/server. Makes it easier for us in the staff to take it seriously.

I think in terms of Chretien we just missed editing that in the jb rules when we did our big changes last year. Simply put breaking the vents is totally allowed but the act of going into the blue spawn is the KOS area. So basically: keep vandalism just change chretien definition

In terms of blues choosing warday areas, maybe we can come up with a general definition of places that aren’t allowed. Such as red side areas where blues can be trapped or really small blue side areas
 
Why not reverse the vandalism rule like we used to have it? It’s way more fun that way.
 
Didn't that old vandalism rule get removed because guards freekilled people who broke vents leading to armory too often? I couldn't really care less about the vandalism rules gameplay-wise, but when guards start freekilling that obviously crosses the line. This is taking into account that many guards don't or do not fully read the rules. However, I don't know how to fix that problem easily.

Also, minor question: does breaking a razorback give you rebeller status?

Poll response was too indifferent for us to take action on this, breaking a Razorback as Spy will continue to make you KOS.

Lethal taunting removed from the baiting list. Guards may now lethal taunt whenever they like - be aware if you kill a Red following orders while doing so it is a freekill, so be careful!

3)Meat Grinder is custom lr only, no one does meatgrinder anymore expect @Semicolon backslash if people dislike it cause it can end rounds fast maybe add something like you can only do meatgrinder after 3-4 minutes passed.
Meatgrinder is now allowed as a custom minigame. We added some rules to ensure it isn't overplayed or abused - it can only be played with 3 or less guards and if Cell Wars has not been played already in the same round.

Chretien rules updated - removed a lot of things which didn't make sense for a long time with updated rules. Thanks for pointing this out. ;)

Warday rules updated from the feedback given in this suggestion by @Heather - thanks again for everybody's input here.
