Removal/Fix of vsh_skyhigh_resort_b8 (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

As you probably guessed by the title, I'm pitching the removal of the map "Skyhigh Resort" due to the engineer exploit on it. Many times do I join on this map and there is some Engi sitting on top of his sentry way up in the air, making it near-impossible for the Hale to reach.

I just reported a player for this but I feel like the map should be fixed or at least removed until fixed, if there is already a patch out then is it possible for it to be updated?

I agree with Toast.

Every time we play on this map, I always see people build a sentry on the balloon, which leads to this exploit. Toast says it’s nearly impossible to kill the engi, but the facts is that it is impossible to do so.

I do like this map, probably on my top10 maps for VSH, but this exploit needs to be fixed. If it can’t be fixed, and this destroyes my heart, it needs to be removed from VSH.

Completely agree, it is a fun map, but there is exploits all around. everyone knows about the balloon exploit, but you can also build sentries on the destroy able part of the bridge. these need to be fixed or the map just needs to be removed, because even though its fun, it stops being fun when you have to fight flying sentries.

Also @P N N there are ways to put the sentry even higher so its almost impossible to reach said sentry

I'd definitely be in favour of this. There are also a number of other problems such as the train ending a hale round prematurely and again the train pushing players into walls/floors. It's too buggy and complicated, especially for newer players

On VSH the train insta-kills the players and deals a huge amount of damage on hale. So we dont have that problem. However, people getting stuck on the train happends every round.
 
while that might annoying if you hate the balloon gltich why not just remove that? but not the actual map itself, i like that map.

How about everyone who plays VSH list the exploits known to them in a private conversation so A - People don't learn about them if they don't know about them already and B - So I can see if I can fix them, of course I need to decompile it and all that good stuff that may or may not work.
@P N N how about you start the conversation with me and everyone else you know who is active and plays vsh.

I can pm you, I know what we need to fix for VSH

Yes please remove this *exploiting Welcome* map, its also boring because there are like 3-4 pyros pushing the hale of the map and 2-5 demos waiting on the Cappoint with stickies.
"Scotisch resistenc" can make 3k dmg with all stickies. Imagen 2 or 3 of them every single time he falls down.
As the other said, its for New Players the Horror to play as Hale.

He just B*tched about that, that im "asspulling rules" u can read it here, from 15 Mär 2018 17:33:29 to 15. Mär 2018 17:57:52

Instead of making a new thread I'll just comment on this one. Ok, I know this is an old thread and a new Skyhigh was replaced for the old one, but there are still problems.

The key problem about Skyhigh is the damn train. Getting stuck on this is a pain in the ass, and I (with others) actually seem to get stuck even more than with the older map. I'm simply suggesting that maybe we could remove the train, and maybe @Husky can remove it or something. I know, I know: the map was just updated more than a week ago at the time of typing this thing up, but this is a problem.

Stop jumping into the side of the train *sigh*
I'll fix it, but sadly I deleted the VMF, though I doubt it will change anything. I will post the fixed version along with 3 other map updates...
 
Is it possible to cover the entire balloon with a brush that doesn't let engineers build on it?
