Declined [JB] Ban Ping-Based Disco (Or make it LR only?) (1 Viewer)

I've done it a lot recently and people really don't like it. I get why we have it around but with the sizeable population of people who have poor ping on the server I think it's best we get rid of it. It can be based in favortism because the warden can just say that whoever they kill moved last, and people kind of have to go with it because recordings can't properly show this unless you get views from all sides. It kinda goes against the "spirit" of panda, as we have other things like frlr and red light green light banned. It also kinda feels like pointfarm simulator I'm ngl.

It is probably best if it's gone completely, though perhaps being relegated to LR only might work as a funny thing every now and then.

This is a game I used to do a lot on wonderland, and I mean A LOT. Likewise with first reaction, last reaction. When I joined the server I saw quickly why FRLR was disallowed and it honestly makes a lot of sense. Give everyone a fair based chance to play a game without having to worry about ping? That's valid. Then why was disco allowed? During the time I've played and people started asking me about rulings, something that's always come up is "Why is disco allowed?". Honestly, it's always been a very valid question to ask. In my eyes it seems it just slipped through the cracks as an exception and because not a lot of people do play it. Now since people have started playing it often, it's problems have become extremely apparent. If something like FRLR, Red light Green light, and Text Based Trivia are going to be banned then this should be too. I absolutely agree with what you had to say Valen.

The only reason its a problem is because you have made it your mission to play it for entire maps in a row in order to make as many people (even your own blues) annoyed with you. Its a minigame that was very rarely played before you decided to do this. All of this was to stir up drama and anger so you could make a forum post suggesting its removal

i don't think the disco which kills/harms you when you on the wrong tile is a issue it's just the game where warden's can simply just say "krook moved last kill them" when say for example my perspective it was actually banana who moved last

the previous suggestion wasnt as good as i tought it'd be. ok so my problems with disco where warden would say "last person to stop moving dies" is pretty much similar to first reaction last reaction in some way. i am aware that this minigame isnt played as often as it is altough it is making it unfair since both of theese rely on ping which affect other peoples prespective on wether they were the last one to move or not which would simply lead to too much confusion over if warden freekilled or not. It is also annoying to play the minigame with too many reds, due to some discos being...

I don't think these reasons are good enough to keep it around. Its allowance goes against some of the most core panda jb "values" and it is silly that it's been allowed as long as it has.

Yeah, tried to make those not included with the "Ping-based" part, didn't know how else to specify.

Only if you don't ban it from maps that have the mini game mechanic that kills the reds (ie, hop). If it must go, fine, but don't ban it from maps where the minigame kills reds.

If the map itself kills reds in disco then it isn't included in this.

Personally I don't feel the game is a problem so long as it isn't spammed. I don't think I've played the ping version of disco in ~a week at this point and when I do it's just a one off.

Though seeing as Panda has banned first reaction last reaction I feel it really strange why this would be allowed and that not.
