If one receives a ban / commblock that he/she thinks is unjust, then it's always reasonable to appeal despite the lenght of the punishment.
In this case tho he mainly apologizes for what he did so you are right, better to wait it out since the punishment is deserved

Ban has expired and it's safe to say he has lost interest in the appeal. Probably thought he was banned for a long time. He admits to breaking the rules as well so the ban is justified.
