Why should you receive a unban for the ban : A couple of friends and I wanted to play on some of your servers, only problem was that I got banned 7 years ago for using a game exploit (that was on the VSH server, where the exploit allowed you to attack enemies as Spectator. And I was spotted very quickly and banned in a couple seconds). I understand that I did something completely dumb & unfair for other players, even if that was cut short. But yeah, 7 years later, here I am asking you guys if you would let me join your servers once again and I won't be abusing game exploits again

The player described honestly and accurately what happened so I have nothing to add there. As this is not really an appeal so much as it is an unban 'request', the actual call should be made by a current staff member (specifically, a full VSH admin or Madact). But for my 2 cents, it's the player's only ban and a huge amount of time has passed, so I see no reason why an unban should not be granted.

I pretty much agree with the above. A long time has passed, you seem to understand that it was wrong and won't do it again. You want to play with your friends on the server so you're most likely not going to cause trouble to not be excluded.

If you do end up exploiting again, you could receive a ban without warning. Here's the general rules for you, it's rather big but it's mainly filled with common sense:
