I had a brief and unsuccessful stint as JB admin in 2022. In my time I learned a lot of what to do (which I still remember a lot of) and more important than that, what not to do.

What would you say makes you a suitable candidate?
(Finally, please briefly explain how you would do your job, e.g. a general overview of your policies and punishments.)​

This is a bit complicated. I showed the world how incompetent I was two years ago. This has left me with a lot to think about, which I have certainly done. I love Panda Jb, which is no understatement. This server has been a part of my life for almost 8 years now. I want so, so very badly to be able to contribute positively to it. My time two years ago was a complete joke- even at an adult age I was ridiculously immature still and had a strange obsession with toeing the line of NSFW and not. I look back at that with truthfully nothing but cringe (Zeprus, you were right). With that aside, what do I have going for me now? Well, I still remain level-headed. I don't get mad at video games, and I still play just to have fun. I've remained somewhat involved in the community, and even in my absenses I constantly lurk on the forums to stay up to speed. A lot of this will be similar to my previous application, because a lot of it still remains true. I have many friends here, both old and new. As I mentioned, I play to have fun, and like to think that a lot of other players do. I don't think its right to harshly punish those for simple mistakes. Shit happens.

My failure in the past has lead me to want to prove I can do a good job. I'm not the same person I was back when I made ridiculous mistakes. As I said previously, I want contribute positively to this community. I want to right the wrongs I made previously. I have been here a long time, and will probably be here for a while yet. I know that I may try to do some shit just for funnies (like on the forums), and I'll start to act more appropriately now that an opportunity to prove myself has once again opened up.

Punishment Times​

Chat and Voice offenses (such as insulting, spam, ghosting, racism):

Warning - 8 hours - 24 hours - 3 days - 1 week - 1 month - perma (though, racism and harmful insults and things such as innapropriate chat may not get the warning, depending on context.)

Exploiting:

Warning - Slay - Ban (depending on their current stacking)

Cheating:

Provided there is demo evidence, permanent ban.

NSFW Sprays:

Warn - spray ban

NSFW Content (Such as profile, or objectors, or weapon names):

Warn - Kick - Ban (depending on stacking)

JB Specific Punishments​

Non-mfk freekills:

Slay - 2 hr guardban - 4 hr guardban - 8 hr guardban - perma (though this could depend on how recent the 3rd offense was.)

Intentional MFK:

Permanent guardban, 1 week ban.

Unintentional MFK:

6 hr guardban on first offense - perma on any consequent

Alright, on the first one, nothing wrong was committed. Being inside the vent is KOS. No freekill, round progressing as normal. The warden even know that the BLUs couldn't seek early, and said this, which is a nice bonus.

Second clip- two things. It immediately seems that Trystan is mfking, though from the vantage point of the single red might not be enough to differentiate. I feel confident in saying that the soldier WAS an MFK though, and would be punished with at least a permanent guardban. Then there's the default pyro, DELLCOMPUTER. Couldn't see the particles but there's no other way the reds could have caught fire, and the killfeed had them with assists. There's not enough information to differentiate if this was intentional or not, but it would have lead to the deaths of 3 reds had the Soldier not killed them, so I think a minor (120 minutes, though if he's a repeat offender it may need to be longer) guardban would suffice.

Third clip- just micspam. The way the others are reacting imply that Bull Hog been doing it for a while. I don't think a warning here is necessary as the others in the server have warned this invidivual enough. A mute would be applied depending on stacking.

Hoo boy, I've been mulling over this Application for a bit and i think i'm ready to give my honest opinion.

To get the elephant in the room, you were demoted previously for being innapropriate and just general malpractice. You claim to have put that past behind you and from what i can tell from interacting with you in the past couple of years i am pretty confident that you have. You have cut ties with problematic people and have made yourself into a positive influence on the Community. No matter what the outcome of this application will be, I think you should be proud of that and should know that will be your long lasting legacy rather than your previous faults.

However, that still doesn't change the fact that you are an inherent risk and the previous demoted admins that we have given second chances to have usually blown it. Does that guarantee that you will too? No.

You are a late night gamer which is a plus since that is exactly what we are looking for and your sessions have looked good for a long period of time.

Your answers to the questions are also pretty good.

I think if the competition wasnt so fierce this cycle i'd have a easier time giving you a +1 but its tough to give you a vote of confidence where there is less riskier options.

Dont give up, I am super proud of you and your growth and i think you should hold your head up high no matter how this application goes.

Thanks Cowboy. It does mean a lot that I'm even being given this chance and not getting blown out of the water immediately. It would truly be unreasonable of me to expect the past to not be taken into account. Words are just words, after all. I've been trying to prove my words with my actions, and hope to continue to do so. There is a lot of hefty competition this cycle, and while I might not be one of the ones to eventually make the cut, the ones that do I believe will be great.

I hope to turn this neutral into a +1 in time. We both know these applications will be sitting here for a while.

But from what I’ve read, been told, and talked over with you, your exit was much better than most.

On top of that you’ve been on Panda JB for an eternity if my mind isn’t fooling me! Infinite experience and that’ll go a long way.

Cowboy probably gave the best response an admin could give to someone who was previously admin. I played with you today and you were pleasant and fun to play with and knew the rules. I didn't have any issues with you.

Obviously the demotion is something to factor in, I was on a hiatus during your trial period so I cant remember too much about your tenure.

However my main problem is, you can be a bit mean sometimes in game. Like bullying mean, you tend to have those little outbursts of toxicity towards annoying people on the server. Getting tilted is normal but you need to be better, you cant let people get under your skin.

I also don't know about your longevity, you're one of those winter regulars right? We need someone committed for the future.

That being said, you're so fun to play with, and your conduct in game is mostly fine, but I think the feedback mentioned is important.

Consider it a +1 with a huge asterisk, I hope you take what we say on board and excel during the review period.

I won't say I'm not guilty of leaning into the "mean" for the sake of the meme. Not an excuse, just a habit of mine. We haven't played together in a little while but I've already curbed this significantly. As for my sessions, I have periods of off and on- I do play a lot in the winter but I do also play during the rest of the year, though it really depends on what else is going on. Don't expect 6 hour sessions but I'll definitely put in a couple hours pretty often, as I'll have a fair bit of free time this semester. I'm really enjoying tf2 right now and my jailbreak passion has been rekindled pretty strongly. I'll try not to get burnt out on it. Thank you for your feedback banana <3
