I don't think everybody uses it, But I got it because it was free and wanted to try it out and so I decided do stick with it. It's mostly personal preferences.

Besides the whole privacy thing, which most people don't care about (and some of the stuff got backported to W8 and W7), there are some downsides to Windows 10 (search function, driver signing limitations), but mainly it's a good upgrade and a step forwards in the right direction.
