!rtd ruins the game for the people that can press mouse2. Nothing else to say its the stupidest thing that's been added to this server. It makes horrible players "good". Example when it ruins the game: You are in a 1v1. Random kid called billy comes and types !rtd, gets a throwable hat, and shoves it down your nose. Ruining the 1v1. And possibly making you never come back to the server.. Panda pls fix.
RTD is just fun. Even if terrible person gets a good effect, it would not make him a better player, he still need to learn how to play. And most effects are like easy to dodge, like throwable hats. Maybe most unfair effect is godlike, that kind of effect would be nice to be removed, otherwise RTD is fun to use .

I understand where you are coming from. Yes it doesn't make them better, but while they have the effect it "does". Now they are easy to dodge when you don't have the rocket on your bottom. Again from the example that I showed, if you are in a 1v1 you cant move from billy that's throwing hats because if you do you will get hit by the rocket, and if you don't you will die to billy. Another example:
you are in a 1v1 and billy gets the poison effect, so he comes to kill you/ block you. Exactly what happen'd to me. You can't move you die either way and billy is allowed to spam it every match around 3 times a round. At the least if it doesn't get removed give it at the least a 50% chance for the !rtd user to explode.
We once deleted RTD from dodgeball, after some time it got back since the community wanted it.
This topic is something that comes up 24/7 on dodgeball, but since there are equal amount of people who want it gone and want it to stay, is really hard to make an decision. I would say that we remove RTD on advanced (29) and keep it on 04 and 19, since if we remove it completely there will be people to complain about it.
I also think there is also a beauty in RTD, because of the random effects you can get. Is of course not really fun to be the victim of the RTD, but is also really fun when you use it yourself to punish the dodgeball players from just pure luck, there is some sort of satisfaction there too. Perhaps there should be a bigger chance to get worse RTD's since people more often complain about getting killed from an RTD and saying: "That's not a skill" or "just pure luck", in a toxic way. But the probability of you getting a good RTD is rather low, so it can also mean you will probably die when using RTD. Which balance it out a little since there is a gamble of you using it, because if you die from it you have to wait for an whole round.
There are also very few people here on forum who plays dodgeball too, perhaps here in the dodgeball team shall announce this and let them make accounts to vote and give their own opinions too.
I don't really mind rtd, of course it can removes some "skill" part of db but nukes aswell and I don't see players complaining about nukes.
You will always have a part rooting for rtd, and a part rooting for its end, tolfx has a great idea with #29 being rtd-free and #4 #19 staying in the same config, it can works.
i dont mind rtd either, but as djusan says it can remove "skill" and i agree that it would be a good idea to keep it on #4 and #19 only so that the "advanced" players on 29# can have their gameplay without being killed by luck of rtd.

Hi all, I'm from Asia where I've played a lot of dodgeball on servers that feature up to 6 rockets in the game simultaneously. Now that I've moved to the West for university, I'm surprised to see that practically all dodgeball servers in the region play with only a single rocket in the game...

I've said this probably a hundred times now, dodgeball and the current RTD system are not balanced together.
Some rolls encourage blocking, fire breath two shots any player, all lethal rolls got bumped to 20 seconds for some dumbass reason, it's just unbalanced.
I've tried for the last three years to improve our dodgeball servers, RTD being the big one.
I'm not a coder though, and I haven't done anything but bring forth ideas.
If it would be easier to remove RTD from dodgeball, so be it, nobody will miss it except the players who use it as a crutch.

I mean you don't need to remove it (I would honestly eat shit to see it removed) maybe just balance it. For an example:
1. Make the duration smaller(20s>5 - 10s)
2. Make the chance of a bad roll to be higher(45 - 65% would be fair)
3. Remove the ones that encourage blocking etc.
