-Your name and/or nickname:
I generally play under the moniker Random Coffee Table and sometimes alias as other stuff, but that is a bit rarer and none of them really stay for too long. If you are also interested, you can call me Brendan, don't have a nickname for that.
Steam id: STEAM_1:0:443146715
- Your general online times and your timezone
My timezone is EST.
I am generally on starting around 4-9:30 on and off, but due to the way college works, if I'm not in a class or meeting I can be online for a little while starting at like 7:30-8. Also, on Fridays and Saturdays I can do from like 10/ 10:30-12ish as I'm not required to wake up at 5:30 am.
- Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for? Would you visit a broader range of servers in case of a report?
I play on NYJB the most, but I've spent time on the trade server. I would be willing to visit a broader range, but it would mostly be for general panda rules, as I'm not as fluent with server specific rules like I am with the jb rules.
- Do you have a microphone? (This is a minimum requirement for Jailbreak admins)
Yes, I do have a mic. I finally got the right settings/ headphones so that it doesn't have a ton of static/ distortion. I don't use it a ton out of respect for parents at home and I know that I can talk first and think later, so I generally prefer chat for clarity.
- Your previous experience as Admin or Moderator.
I do not have previous expedience as an Admin, but I have plenty of experience leading groups/ helping them run with a variety of age ranges and settings (Boy Scouts, music ta, community events), so I know that I can handle the difficulties that can arise.
- Do you have experience with administrating with SourceMod?
I don't have experience with SourceMod, though from what I can tell it looks fairly easy to learn.
- Why should we choose you to be part of our team?
I have been playing NYJB for a couple years now and know the rules like the back of my hand. I believe that I have the ability to moderate the server in a fair way, not giving anyone favoritism because I know them while also not being heavy handed in punishments too quickly. I've seen both happen and I want the server to be run fairly for everyone, and I know that I can avoid those potential pitfalls so that a chaotic server like jb can run smoothly and enjoyably without being hampered by over-zealous moderation. Most importantly, I want this server to succeed and do well. I know that not everything I've said has supported that claim, but this server and community is some of the most fun I have in tf2 and I have a lot of friends on it, and I want panda JB to enable other people to have that same experience as well.
- Finally, please briefly explain how you would do your job, e.g. a general overview of your policies and punishments.
Generally, I think the best way for an admin to act is in the background as a general player until action needs to be taken as that enables the server to run its course. For punishments, I plan to follow the general panda format of 6-tiers, with exceptions to the more egregious (racism, intentional mfk, threats of violence, and hacking).
Bans and Comms (5, only 2 are recent. One was me taking a meme too far on mic (February) and the other was about the now fixed static mic)

Exploiting, freekill, latespawn, etc.
1 - 360 min ban
2 - 720 min ban
3 - 1440 min ban
4 - 10080 min ban
5 - 43800 min ban
6 - perma ban
exceptions:
Hacking:

LR Denial, freekill, teamkill, etc
1 - 120 min guard ban
2 - 240 min guard ban
3 - 480 min guard ban
4 - 720 min guard ban
6 - perm guard ban
exceptions:
Mass Freekill (unintentional):
1 - 480 min Team ban
2 - perm guard ban
Mass Freekill (intentional)
1- perm guard ban
The discrepancy between these two is due to intention. I would be more forgiving of a soldier accidentally shooting rocket into a group of reds than someone telling all reds to go into one spot and then blowing them all up. I am willing to change this, but sometimes people make mistakes and I don't think they should get the same immediate punishment as those doing it intentionally. I am willing to revise this, but this is my general perspective on mfk.
