I was told that the replays (at least on 2fort) won't register new taunts. The person who told me this also said that it only happens on Panda and that the taunts work fine on replays taken on other servers. I went and tested it.
These were taken on Panda 2fort.
While doing normal taunts (both old and new) and partner taunts, the mercs were just
standing around. There were no taunt animations at all. You could hear the music and their
voice lines though. Conga showed as a slow running animation.
I went to another server and took a replay there.
The animations worked just fine in that one.
I don't know anything about replays so i have no idea if it's valve's fault that they are working poorly or if there is just something wrong with them in this community's servers.
Felt like I should point it out though.
