Stealing/attempting to steal

The rules on that server was 3 strikes and im out and yet the first f***ing time i try to steal was because that rocket was going straight at me and the person behind me was afk so i was trying to protect them MEANWHILE brando bans me on the first time. i want the ban removed and off my records AND i want rio brando to be revoked as an admin cause i was 100% innocent



my friend on that server was even watching me and he saw me get banned for no reason

Actually, no. You did not try to steal only once. I slayed you twice; once near the beginning of when I joined the server, and then the second time. The second time that you stole, you said, "Hah, I knew that was going to happen. I just knew it," on mic after I slayed you, showing that you indeed knew the consequences of your actions.

Also, there is no set rule defining how many times we are required to slay someone before we ban them; it is recommended that it be three, which I usually abide by. However, you were in the match for quite a while, and saw tons of other people getting slain as well, alongside the very large warning that pops up before the beginning of each match to remind everyone that stealing and blocking is absolutely forbidden on Panda DB servers. Therefore, seeing as how you blatantly knew the rules before stealing, I decided that it was best to ban you since I had already warned you, many other people, and the entire server many, many times.

The player the rocket was headed for was in the far left-hand corner of the Blu side of the map Desert Madness, and was not afk in the slightest. I saw you jump to the left to steal the rocket, and right after I slayed you was when you decided to say the whole "I knew that was going to happen," line.

Nation (the "friend on the server") also has a very large history of stealing rockets and attempting to steal rockets as well, basically since he first joined USA DB, so having him defend you isn't going to do much in my eyes.

First off, there is no such rule on the server that says "3 strikes". Admins have their own ways of disciplining players. Also, when a player is AFK, just let them die. Stealing from AFK players are not allowed. Stealing is allowed when you are stripped to melee or frozen and/or if there's a nuke.

Right here, you claimed you were trying to steal. Attempting to steal isn't allowed. This shows that you are not "100% innocent" as you said you are. Personally, I would just let myself die if the rocket is coming towards me even when it's not mine.

I believe the ban should stay put as we can see that you and your "friend" are trying to target a demotion on an admin as well as you breaking the rules and provoking an admin.

Coming in hostile with cursing doesn't increase your chances to be unbanned. I fully support Dio's decision on the ban due to the fact, we the administrators, display it manually EACH round in the middle of your screen in White letters stating "Stealing/Blocking is FORBIDDEN". You had ample warnings even through slays, plus knew you were doing wrong, to stop but continued to do so. +1 on ban staying

How is that going to get you unbanned in any way when you are demanding these things

Can you not wait 12 hours or something? Ban appeals should be written if the player has a ban that's more than 2 weeks imo.

As the admins said above. You had A LOT of warnings. Including the red text and the message in the middle of the screen telling players that stealing and blocking is forbidden. Also if you've been slain, and you read the text, Don't steal anymore. Pretty easy to follow. Not stealing includes no stealing at all unless there's a player who has no weapon, it's going to kill you, or if it's a nuke. 3 strikes??? It's recommended but I highly doubt that we admins ban people on the first steal. It's most likely two slays and if you steal again, it's a ban.

Get a ban erased from your record? Should've listened, your mistake.

I didn't really read everything here but I'm not responding to the player's case, I'm responding to this:

This is the relevant part from an older post of mine:

It doesn't matter if a ban is an hour or a month, if the user feels like it was unjust they have, and must have, the right to appeal and defend their case. It's not about how easy it is to wait it out, if the user feels they were banned for too long relatively to the crimes they committed, or if it was wrongly applied in general, they deserve to ask for a just explanation. Valentemario [someone who had just appealed their ban a few days before this post] could easily have been told to wait his ban out, but because he appealed it came to light that two out of five reasons he was banned for were faulty; thus it could be lessened. The player's ban was shortened and the admin learned from it. Everybody won. That's the beauty in appeals.

And that is the case for every appeal. Either a player learns to understand the rules better, or an admin learns from his mistakes. Or both. And no matter what happens, appeals are reflections of an admin's performance. Thus helping to decide on promotions.

Since the player's ban has now expired, I will be closing this thread. The original verdict was stated quite a few times through multiple Admins on this thread; even though the ban time expired before the thread was closed, I would decline this appeal.
