Previous experience as Admin or Moderator:

• I don't have a lot of experience moderating game servers, but mainly my experience comes from a few Discord servers, that gave me some knowledge of punishing, punishment stacking, etc. Most of the servers I have moderated on Discord were in the size range of 1000 - 5000, but those servers have fallen apart. (only 1 remains to my knowledge)

What would you say makes you a suitable candidate?:


I may be more known to the people who played in the Panda VSH server, due to me spending a lot of my time on TF2 there (27d 13:01:51h). Because of this I don't have a lot of time played on the Panda USJB server, but I did have a lot of time spent in the past, on a CS 1.6 Jailbreak server, that doesn't exist anymore. This server also was a place where I got more familiar with the rules of Jailbreak. (I played on this server when I was 8-10 years old, so I do not own the account that I played on)

• Im pretty certain that I have learned a lot (even though I don't have a lot of playtime), and I have a okay understanding of the rules, in the game. It takes a lot to learn everything, but in the time that I've been in the jb community, I am sure I have learned a lot more than some of the more active people.

• I think the things that make me a suitable candidate would be a few different factors:
  
  • Eagerness to learn: I'm not yet perfect, and I don't know everything there is to know, but this I counteract with my wish to learn more and give it my all, even if it takes hours off my life outside jailbreak, I am ready to give it my all, to learn as much as I am able.
  • Ability to learn quick:​
    Yes, I don't have a lot of time in the jailbreak server, and this isn't the ideal thing, but I am very quick in learning new stuff, that I can carry on with my wish to play jailbreak.​
  • Fast approach: When I was a discord moderator in a few servers, I always dealt with stuff quickly, I was always able to get all the details of a story, and put the story together to the best of my knowledge, so I can punish (if needed) accordingly.
  • Patience: Sometimes, when problems escalate in the server I have tried to de-escalate them and sometimes the time it takes for a small argument to go away, can be longer than it should. I've always been pretty patient with things that happen and in my eyes I seem to have a lot of patience to deal with something.

I have a few videos for you to look over and i would like you to tell us how you would go about the situation if you had admin powers. Assume none of these individuals had a prior history.

1. In the first clip the blu pyro "Festive" is obviously armory camping, and considering that he had been given multiple warnings in chat (and one in voice, but that was in the end) I would give him a 2 hour team ban. Also this could be a little nitpicky, but i'd give "Sushi Dusk" a small warning to reduce the cursing, as it isn't needed to curse so much.

2. In the second clip it is easy to see that the blu "Izakic" who happened to be warden, has no knowledge on how to play blu, but considering that no warnings were given in chat/voice, I would start with kicking "Izakic" off the Guard team, and letting him know where to find the rules of the Panda JB server. If "Izakic" still doesn't read the rules, and plays Guard whilst they have no idea on how to play it, I would give them a 2 hour team ban.

3. Either the blu "BenDioRod" has no idea how this gamemode works or they don't care whatsoever. Also in the 2nd and 3rd part where there are MFK-s, you can see that "BenDioRod" is looking for reds, like he wants to purposely kill them. So considering all of this material I would just treat this as Intentional MFK-s, and some Intentional freehits. So the punishment would be a permament Guard Ban + 6 hour Server ban. This could also be the case of a Alt, but for that there is not enough material.

Your responses to the clips shown are spot on. Your stacking is slightly off but that's no biggie.
My main concern lies in your punishment history. It's all been from over a year in the past, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on.
I'll stick with a neutral for now. Take this time to prove that you aren't the person you were a year back. As 5 comms + 1 ban for avoiding punishments is a pretty big deal.

I will just talk about my punishment history shortly as a part of it may be a little controversial. All of the comms I have gotten are justified, and I can't deny my actions under them, but the ban is where things get weird. Due to the last communication ban (which was 1 month), the sourcebans were broken on a day I decided to play vsh on, using the !rtd command, I saw that my chat was randomly working, and then I was able to talk again (I did not know why I was able to talk, I thought that my gag had been removed) and then I got the short ban of 12 hours for "avoiding punishment". It was a controversial ban and at the time I talked to a VSH full admin "Hevs" about it and even she thought it was a little bit weird, to ban for a small thing like that. But because it was such a short ban I never thought about appealing against it.

As 5 comms + 1 ban for avoiding punishments is a pretty big deal.

You have a great response to the clips as it shows a willingness to allow the players to learn without punishment. Something I personally value.

Yes your comms don't look particularly good. But I saw you on today for the first time in a while it feels like, and you were a fairly pleasant part of that session. I can def see someone taking a bunch of comms and learning from the past. The 10 accepted reports since the start of the year also show an understanding of what is/isnt punishable.

I believe that a +1 is in order from me. If any of the past VSH behavior comes up I will shift it down, so make sure to keep up the good work!

Pretty good timezone, good answer to questions and overall friendly guy. However the punishment history and your lower playtime compared to other applicants has me a bit concerned.

Can't say i lean too much towards either -1 or +1, Keep up the solid reports coming in and get your playtime up and i could definitely see myself shifting towards a +1.

I've seen you around a few times and I think you'd be a pretty good fit in the staff team.

Like Mehgend said I really like how you're lenient with warnings, which shows that you'd rather help someone do good instead of issuing a punishment and forgetting about it.
Not everybody will appreciate the opportunity though, so just be aware of that.

Coming into this, I knew my playtime and punishment history won't be the best side, but I am willing to do my best to make the playtime rise and prove myself on the different side!
