Ngl I thought "line wars" meant fighting one-dimensionally, which seems much more interesting than the current suggestion.

Honestly I used to think the same. I'm pretty sure I've seen line wars be played as you have to remain on the line during ff. Not just behind. Which is a more interesting variant anyways.
