So V12 added 4 new games and only 2 out of the 4 are even played, which just makes it seem like v8 with games no one even plays which is why i think we should bring back v8 cause at least in v8 people actually played the games, which v8 brings back deathrun and 4corners only problem with it is making burger king massacre into an admin only game but i wish to have a map with games people play other then a map that people only play climb and crush game, it makes way more sense to bring back death over battle boats, 4corners over prop hunt, then have games that sit there get played once per map.

Hopjb. The most iconic jb map out there. I remember when dodgeball was in a room with a piano.

V8, for the longest time, was the most popular version of the map. I will be listing the notable changes that V12 had to offer in comparison to V8.

1 Deathrun became Battle boats ( which is never played)
2 Sumo replace 9square ( which is restricted to only 4 players)
3 Added jetpack minigame ( 4 player minigame that is never played )
4 Added a bowling alley ( Only truthfully used for as warday or death request, not many wardens use this minigame sadly)
5 Added a better disco minigame (...

The losses just aren’t worth the gain of nostalgia, 9square, 4 corners, and deathrun

So instead of encouraging/being warden to PLAY those minigames you just want to remove them for a version that essentially downgrades the rest of the map? I personally like battle boats and admittedly i dont think it gets played enough, but thats because its meant to determine who gets lr/leave the reds down to the last 2, and i cant imagine anybody wanting more luck based minigames like 9 square or four corners, deathrun is meh but it never really stood out to me, especially considering the other minigames that substitute it, if v8 got added back whats stopping wardens from just doing deathrun because its the closest minigame to cells and can kill a fair amount of reds? Im personally not a fan of prop hunt but i still feel its played enough for how special/unique it is, which cant be said for the 2 luck based and deathrun minigames. it also turns disco back into a ping based reaction test, theres also no guarantee that the old minigames would get played nearly as much (nor would i want them to.) as i said i feel removing 12 and adding 8 is just gonna substitute problems whilst removing overall quality. the only way id imagine v8 wanting to be played is if we did what we did before and made it so both v8 and v12 were on rotation, as we did before which i wouldnt get hopes on, sorry if i repeated anything

We’ve already had like 15 revert hop suggestions. It’s not going to get magically accepted the 16th time. V12 is just a much better map all round in terms of map quality, minigame placement, gameplay, and the minigames themselves.

Not sure where this is coming from, because in my experience we play prop hunt pretty consistently whenever hop is on. I also don’t think I’ve ever seen it failround since if the blues take that long to find the reds they usually just end the minigame and play sumo or some other minigame instead.
Imo, it’s just not worth losing all of V12’s minigames and gameplay just go back to a worse map that has a deathrun.

I’d rather a thousand fun games that everybody plays once every 5 years over a map with half of the mini game collection that requires a warden order to force players to do anything past one button press.

isnt the deathrun also the one on minecraft which is also the one on albany all of which just have minor differences
or am i crazy

I cant wait for the blues who do deathrun on causarina and minecraft to do the same with hop v8 cause its the closest minigame and also has 2 consistent luck based traps

Just like last time. No, not a chance no.
There is literally NOTHING redeeming about v8 over v12, it's just a worse map. The desire for a subpar dr does not overwhelm the new interesting and actually fun minigames added into v12.
