mannpower is cool, i like mannpower, most people like mannpower, and its criminal that there arent more mannpower implementations in JB.
i spoke to someone who makes plugins for the server and they said it was possible to do mannpower related LRs, so let's go into some suggestions shall we?

here's a link for the mannpower effects so you know what they do

LR #1 - Dracula's Prison
All reds are granted the Vampire mannpower effect.

LR #2 - One Shot Warday
All players are swapped to sniper and granted the Precision mannpower effect. Also warday.

LR #3 - Prison Brawl
Friendly fire is forced on, and all players are granted the Knockout mannpower effect and guaranteed crits. Basically a slower but slightly funnier (imo) RRD.
(if possible, the punchout theme playing the entire day would be a bit silly)

LR #4 - Vengeful Reds
When a red dies, all reds are granted the Revenge powerup for 10s.

LR #5 - King's Warday
One red and Warden are granted the King powerup. If the red king dies, another red may pick up the powerup, but if the blue king dies it will be gone forever. Also warday.

P.S - sorry for all of the polls, but i wanted to make sure people could pick and choose their LRs.

Voting no on these tbh. The LR menu is already chock full as it is. And none of these I would really see get used at all over other typical lr choices.
 
I'm not a fan of TF2 melee hitreg, but Prison Brawl sounds pretty fun as an 'everyone for themselves' hg.
Otherwise idk the rest seem a bit much, and melee only for blu fits the same role of nerfing blus for a round.
Vampire maybe but I feel like with crits you get one shot most of the time regardless.
 
Waiter, Waiter! more fucking Warday's please! I'm voting on 4 and 5 but I cant stand another suggestion to add yet another Warday variant into the LR list. Personally I don't like Warday, Last Day Warday and other such Warday's. its annoying and just too too much.

vampire grants extra health and damage resistance, so crits wouldn't one shot even scouts unless its something like a soldier or demo primary.

You know its a good suggestion when krook or banana votes no...
They vote no on most things though. No problems with that. JB best suited for simple stuff
 
One shot warday yes, I love having 1 entrance being long range camped by 20 snipers just for the round to last 9 minutes.
 
I feel like regardless of whether these should be added or not there shouldn't be 5 LRs in a single thread, and that each LR should be a single thread. Each of these LRs are pretty complex and I don't think they can all be fully discussed when they're jammed like this.

Honestly feel like all alone these aren't that fun but there maybe could be a randomizer lr that chooses between all of these so all of these aren't by themselves and are rather under 1 that is randomized when chosen.
 
i think king's warday would be more interesting if it wasn't warday. also some of these may make reds way too strong and lrs arent fun when the warden dies almost instantly.
 
I just noticed the vampire day is losing, do reds not like the idea of health on kill as a rebeller?

Imagine all the crazy rebelling opportunities with that powerup alone!
 
I feel like most lr's should completely change how the game is played.
Melee only and Crits day are a good example, they completely change how the blues and reds approach each other.
Stuff like HG, HnS, and warday basically make jb into a whole new experience.
I think we have enough lr's like low grav day and tiny mann that are just simple rtd effects, and most of these suggestions are just warday with a new coat of paint.
now can we PLEASE stop with the suggestions, i feel gonna puke if I see one more...

What if 2 blues and 28 reds, wont be much to do …
Would only be fun if the guards have atleast 5+ players tho…
Or
It could be fun for it just to be hg but with the vampire effect i think? But could possibly be ruined by skullcutter demos 😒

Some idea's in this suggestion are pretty fun in my opinion. Some not so much.
My opinion on the 5 LR's:


  • LR #1 - Dracula's Prison
    I don't know what it is, but it honestly feels a bit too much for me.

  • LR #2 - One Shot Warday
    It's a fun idea on paper. But I personally want this suggestion to go through instead.
    And, though a lot have mastered it, latency for both blue's and reds has a factor in my opinion too and could make or break an LR.

  • LR #3 - Prison Brawl
    I would have loved this idea IF the FF wasn't instant.
    If the FF isn't instant at round start and could be done by the warden, you'll have me onboard.
    Otherwise it'll just be Knockout Cell Wars day.
    (Ill change my vote if the LR is just a all day chaos round like Headless Horseless Horseman or Warday, but I don't see that specified in the suggestion)

  • LR #4 - Vengeful Reds
    That sounds pretty funny and has a big chance to create ultimate chaos.
    I do have one question: does the 10 second stack per red or just automatically 10 seconds each time?

  • LR #5 - King's Warday
    I like this a lot, though I hope the RNG doesn't favour certain players only and that it truly is chance.
    I would however counter-suggest that the king powerup is not gone for blue's, since if the warden dies the round ends quicker regardless due to no crits.

Overall, fun LR suggestions
 
During kings warday, what if a AFK red gets the king powerup?
Or
Does the red who chose the lr , get the king powerup?
