Currently when the freeday for all LR is chosen cells immediately open and the warden has to decide whether or not melee range is KOS. This often results in the majority of the blu team dying within the first 30 seconds of the round.

What I propose is the following:
-Cells open after a short time (like 10 seconds) of the round starting. This gives the blu team a chance to get to a safe distance and not be instantly rushed and/or accidentally let a lot of reds into the armory.

-Melee range is automatically KOS during the freeday for all LR. Again, this ensures the blu team can actually survive for a little longer.

A freeday for all should be an actual freeday for all instead of a rush the blu team day.
 
Sure, I like freedays to do my own stuff, doing minigames or getting ammo but the guards almost get insta killed when cells open.

definitely agree with the KOS, the cell thing depends on the map but on maps like jailfort where cells are RIGHT at armoury with no easy escape route it'd definitely be beneficial

additionally it would be nice to be allowed to airblast reds who are very clearly rushing you (away from anything you could airblast them into like a death pit or other hazard)
 
How are we gonna enforce this bro, melee range is kos on this freeday but not that, more rules for little to no outcome is annoying. Like most blues are gonna get rushed anyway, this isnt going to stop it.
Think on first day freeday, blues always get rushed even with saying melee range is kos.
Also of course it isnt going to be fair, its an LR, its a privilege earnt by the reds.

If you were to make it implied for "Freeday for All" then that is just something that people will have to become accustomed to. "Freeday for Yourself" and "Freeday for Others" both are normal rounds where wardens can say it, but "Freeday for All" is special in the fact that it is not implied, so guards die even faster.

I agree 100% that it does not stop reds, but it would act at least as a deterrent.
 
its fine how it is, rarely used and used for the chaos, those are just unnecessary.

This lr is just useless if the guards just instantly die due to a crit, they cant fight back

I think the increased cell timer is good, because some maps have armory right in front of cells, so half the blues die before they can leave, and all the reds get ammo. I think the auto kos would lead to a lot of people getting killed for not realizing it was a rule, and it would be a tad bit unfair.
 
no need to make melee auto kos since warden can just say it but making the cells open later aint a bad idea

but freeday for all barely gets picked
 
Having cells open 10 seconds later is actually a good compromise. Regardless of the fact it’s a freeday, BLUs should at least be given some time to run so as to give them a chance to survive and live long enough for the freeday to actually BE a freeday.

I disagree with this philosophy from both a blu and red perspective

As a blu, freeday for all is boring as hell as all it ever entails is getting rushed and being completely powerless to prevent getting crit checked and dying
As a red, freeday for all is boring as hell because the round is never long enough to get to explore the map or play minigames, the entire point of a freeday, and it's piss-easy to rebel which isn't really fun

But especially, the idea that every LR should be maximally red-centred as a "reward" for the blus doing their jobs and ensuring LR is given is silly and backwards, the game should always try to be fun for both teams
 
Lowkey I changed my mind, I think delaying cells opening is pretty good and provides more gameplay opportunities, since its coded into the plugin and isnt another rule I think this would be pretty good.
 
Hate the freeday for all LR, but having the cell doors open a bit later than usual would make it less annoying for the majority.
 
New poll, options are just going to be an 7 second cooldown before cells open or no change
