I don’t think this is a good idea. The reason that wardens ask people to crouch walk is so that they move at a slow yet relatively equal pace. The problem is that taunts move at different paces. There’s taunts like the go-kart which move at a pace slightly slower than walking pace, but there’s also taunts that are much much slower. It’s going to take forever for someone to conga over to a minigame or use demoman’s boat taunt to use an extreme example.
The problem with making taunt walking now implied is that reds will use these slow taunts like conga to delay the round and potentially troll new players into freekilling them. I think that this is especially an issue if warden is new or not paying attention, since an experienced warden will just tell people to catch up, but a warden who isn’t paying attention might just start the minigame without the conga reds.
A different possible way to enforce the rule is to allow taunt walking but make the slow taunts like conga KOS by default because it’s considered delay. I think this is probably a better way handle things but it still has problems. For new players who see others tauntwalking and use a slower taunt they will be confused when they are killed for tauntwalking. Furthermore I’m not entirely sure which taunts are technically faster than crouching and that might be a difficult thing for blus to measure.
All in all this is just a can of worms we shouldn’t be dealing with. If you’re a warden I encourage you to allow people to tauntwalk, if you’re a guard I encourage you to not kill reds for petty reasons, but the rules shouldn’t change.
