NOTE: This LR would be a normal round day, not something like HHH day.

For this LR idea, all players, RED and BLU, are stripped down to just the Half-Zatoichi. This means everyone is prone to instakills, because the Half-Zatoichi instakills other Half-Zatoichi wielders, meaning BLUs will have to be very cautious, but so will REDs too. Basically, it's HHH day as a normal round instead of a day of bloodbath.

I have however given two options for available classes. I am aware that having all classes available for this LR would be risky, as Scouts in particular would pose a real massive threat on this type of day due to their speed. The other option is to restrict this LR down to Demoman only (everyone would be forced to be Demoman, one of the two classes the Half-Zatoichi belongs to. I chose Demoman because he is the more interesting and versatile class to play with this weapon than the Soldier).
 
I feel like this lr would be wildly unfair to blus, to the point where it instantly causes failrounds and sort of negates the lr. At least in guards melee only blues still have an advantage over reds with guaranteed crits, but with this LR the reds could rush the blus and win every time.
 
No, because we already have crits, caber, and melee only day. The exact same thing could be accomplished by a boston basher scout rushing warden on a crits day, so why bother?
 
This only works as a bloodbath day. Otherwise a red scout can just rush at the warden since they lose all range. And unlike melee only day where blues can at least survive a non crit melee, they have to deal with instakilling red scouts with an increased melee range
 
if the problem is scouts bomb rushing the blues with a zatoichi and just instakilling all of them, just force class to be demoman.

Blus also have the advantage of still having charge, so it is a feasible day with these two conditions

No offense but did you not see the other option of Demoman only?
 
Yeah this is a no from me sadly. It's a cool idea on paper, but we are all out of paper.

This server has already ran out of paper and the rainforest long ago with the amount of suggestions a month

But anyhow yeah i think with the insta kill risks that this would give too similar to caber day. So its a no for me (also cuz caber explosions are funnier)

No offense but did you not see the other option of Demoman only?
Forcing all to demo is just boring though. Same situation still applies. If warden doesn't preemptively equip the booties then a demo that does have them equipped outspeeds the warden and thus can just rush the warden.
Just do crits for all at that point.

force soldier for red team force demo for blue team or somethings
so the blu team can charge away or something + faster than reds in general
 
This only ended up removing the HHH sounds that were apparently too loud to handle

Mostly nos for this one, so this LR idea won’t be implemented, but thanks for taking the time to vote.
