[JB] jb_galaxy's tragic end (for now) (1 Viewer)

hi guys.

after trying everything to make jb_galaxy playable for about a year now, i have decided i do not wish to continue this mindbreaking project.
the Source engine is too complex for me to realize the amazing ideas that i once had.

if anyone else wishes to continue in my footsteps, finishing what i started, please send me a dm on either here or discord; existance5021.
im more than happy to give this project to someone else (more experienced or not, doesn't matter) in hopes that they can actually make this into a functioning map.

Hi hehe, I just wanted to thank you for trying your best with galaxy, going through it with all of the harsh criticism and producing a map that while flawed I found really fun from my playtime with it. I hope this doesn't dissuade you from future mapping endeavors as I think you have a lot of really creative ideas that I would love to see come to life as without new ideas we're just going to end up playing variations of the same old boring jb formula that's been copied since electric razor in counter-strike.

If you ever need help with anything, level design, detailing, playtests, I'd be happy to help you in the future.

this isn't the end of my entire mapping career, im just done with jb_galaxy for now

Wanted to say that I'm glad that we have dedicated mappers making maps for jb like hehe troll. Sure it has been a bumpy road, but it takes a lot of effort and dedication to do mapping that things can just go wrong. jb_galaxy was a creative map and the scope was big, so I'd imagine it was full of challenges to make.

I hope you can still find the motivation to continue to make maps in the future.
