Ding Ding Ding!!!We haven't had a single map removal in the big 2025. The point of removing bad maps is tightening our rotation so underplayed GOOD maps can take their spot and get some love. RTV fodder like this map kills playercounts and actively hinders other maps.
I HAVE BEEN PREACHING THAT GALAXY IS BETTER THAN EVERYBODY SAYS. Is it the greatest? No. But everybody makes it out to be the worst map ever made. It pisses me off. With the surge of new map makers, we have been extremely picky towards them. Everyone was so eager to remove galaxy as soon as it got added. And is bootcamp actually better than Galaxy?
That will never happen. The underplayed maps will always be underplayed no matter what else is in rotation. The only way for a maps playcount to change is everyones perception of it changes and its likelyhood to show up as option 4 on the voting menu. The point of removing bad maps is tightening our rotation so underplayed GOOD maps can take their spot and get some love.
imo this is bad. Our ability to remove/add maps has been made much easier than it has EVER been. We should be welcoming to at least trying new stuff out way more now than ever considering what we have access to. If a map idea goes poorly, then oh well, remove it and try again with the information you've collected from the time it was active on the server. Maybe next time. With the surge of new map makers, we have been extremely picky towards them.

thank you.I HAVE BEEN PREACHING THAT GALAXY IS BETTER THAN EVERYBODY SAYS. Is it the greatest? No. But everybody makes it out to be the worst map ever made. It pisses me off.
i vote no even though i know its futile...
goodbye my glorious sniper pointfarm <3 ;(
At this point the more we remove maps constantly for the sake of it. The less more maps will be played. Honestly I don't see a point removing bootcamp when it's played a few times in a blue moon, and has some minigames i do enjoy. There's a lot of maps I'd take bootcamp over, and are in rotation so I'd like to see bootcamp stay. I don't think we have too many maps atm, when like 5 get played only.
it's been like 4 days. insufficient time to tell that, sometimes the map just isn't picked for various reasons... there's days galaxy isn't picked too, does that mean galaxy is not loved? ... maybe, but that's a different storyI'd like note that since I made this suggestion bootcamp has only been played once, so clearly some of you don't love this map as much as you say you do.
I've played on Galaxy more than I've played bootcamp in the past 5 months (3.14% of the time vs 0.61%).it's been like 4 days. insufficient time to tell that, sometimes the map just isn't picked for various reasons... there's days galaxy isn't picked too, does that mean galaxy is not loved? ... maybe, but that's a different story
Is it as bad as some people in this thread are suggesting? No, quite frankly I think it is about on the same level as v1a galaxy, snowday, and crossroads and I've yet to see anything regarding those maps being removed. With that being said though I wouldn't be heartbroken if it were gone.

We shouldn't just keep a map because it's been in rotation for a while. Otherwise we should add Aztec back.

i think this says enough
..acting?Also stop acting like d-day is the peak of game design, it's vs. sentry minefield with a payload cart.
