Type /r or /repeat to ask warden to repeat their last order(s).
To use it: You must be alive, in the prisoner team, not pressing any buttons, with an active warden.

When used:
For everyone:
Prints a message in chat.

For Warden only:
Creates a speech bubble on top of the player that asked for repeat for 5 seconds with a sound effect.

Stats:
Maximum 3 use per player every round.
30 seconds cooldown per player.
10 seconds cooldown globally when anyone uses the command.

These values can be easily changed.

I think this would move jb away from the "vanilla" experience. While not a bad change, I just think it's unnecessary.

demonstration.
this video shows 2 things:
1. if you're on RED team, you do not see the "repeat" requests of other people on RED team, except printed in chat.
2. if you're on BLU team, you see the player that requested the repeat with a text above their head, plus a little sound being played along with it.

my vote goes to a YES, since i do think that wardens not reading chat when people are asking for a repeat has been a problem hindering our experience for a long time now

I do worry that many people will use this plugin to completely ignore the chat. 30 seconds is quite a long time for a cooldown on something that can make or break someone living. Many things that have gone frombeing moderated by the players to plugins that have kind of made the problem way worse when you DONT use the plugin. I noticed, for example, overtalking gets absolutely insane sometimes if you try not to use the plugin (and it comes much more commonly than it would before its addition), and I fear that this might happen here as well. Many wardens already dont read chat, but I feel like trying to find someone saying "hey can i get a repeat" in chat while under cooldown would be kind of punishing to the player, especially since only one person is allowed to get a repeat every 10 or so seconds, which can overlap from orders with common repeats such as going from afk freezing in cells before going to the line.

Is this a new plugin or a currently existing one? There's a repeat plugin that used to be on the eu jailbreak server and it was incredibly buggy.

Could we perhaps have some visual examples of the plugin in effect?

Also got to thinking, this can be used to essentially point out rebellers. As a freeday I can just follow rebellers, and spm /repeat, and now the warden knows exactly where they are if they were to follow the pop up.

Absolutely a cool idea, but is it needed? Not at all. If this is to solve the issue of blues not reading chat for repeats, I don’t see this issue fixing that at all.

You say only warden can see pop-up, not guards. Guards that already don’t read the chat are still gonna freekill lil Timmy regardless. Now you add everybody to see that popup, it’ll become intrusive. I personally despise popups in games. Now add up to potentially 24 of them all at once.

Do want to note, yes there is a 10 second global spam, but 10 seconds isn’t going to stop people from doing it malicously. Adding a time limit is absolutely necessary, but then it just further proves it’s not there to fix guards not reading chat, if the repeat doesn’t work every time you ask for it.

Feel like I'm going against the grain here, but I'm in favor of this.
I know there is discussion of tweaks in the works currently, but this ON PAPER should be a nice way to ask for a repeat when needed.
How it'll work in practice with a packed server is TBD, but I like increasing the player accessibility of the server.
Quite often repeats in chat are ignored by the Warden, and I would say 80% of the time that is just an accident.
So for those who do not use their mic, it is a nice option to have when needed.

if its as togglable as you say its gonna be i dont see a reason to not have it
it helps newer players actually notice the repeats and people who play all the time can just turn it off, i dont see any downsides with it being like this

As long as it is displayed one way or another that this can be toggable, I have no issue with this whatsoever either.

Personally I’ve noticed recently a lot of wardens ignoring chat and freekilling people when they ask for a repeat so I think this is much needed.

I will concede there’s probably ways to abuse this, reds might spam it or maybe a free-day will use this to give away rebeller positions like calassic mentioned. But I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Anytime we make a big change to jailbreak, there’s going to be some issues. Take the overtalk plugin for example. That was a huge change that lead to some issues but it was tweaked to address those issues, and now I think most people who were initially skeptical would probably agree in hindsight that the overtalk plugin was a good addition. (Maybe I’m wrong in that view, and there’s still overtalk haters out there, but they’re not super vocal these days.) I’m confident that if we add this system we’le have follow up votes to address the issues, or if we try out this system and don’t like it, we’ll have a subsequent vote to remove it.

This is needed with the amount of people that don't see reds asking for a repeat, like Meatloaf said. It doesn't hurt to try it at least or tweak implementation to something that would be beneficial to the server. An alternative to this if people didn't like the system provided would have to be enforcing the wardens repeating, as it is an issue and needs to be resolved in one way or another.

I dont like how it looks, I dont like the clutter on my screen, hard pass

As much as I would typically agree, next to no warden will actually give me a repeat that isn’t on the first order given. I’d suggest this be visible to blues too, I’ve been killed countless times doing what I should on a repeat, which is to remain afk until it’s given, even when I used to administrate I’d attempt to enforce it, but it would not stop it from happening. While I could go out reporting every instance of it happening, or admins could warn every time, I can see the audio and visual cue making it way less of a hassle, and just simplifying the issue.

I think I will change my vote to yes if its toggleable. Sometimes on blue you just forget to look at chat so this would be helpful, and if its abused then I can just turn it off.

idrc but from my 5 minute playtime in wonderland it cluttered my screen and i dont like that

I honestly feel like this problem might get worse if this is added. Wardens only "need" to read chat for like 4 things, and two of those are stuff that doesn't require the warden to actually request the red to speak. With those beaing for rulebreaking and repeats. (the other two are trivia/theater and asking what to play, mightve missed something though).

If you cut what a warden would need to passively read in half, then I am of the belief that a player reading chat would drop MORE for something that is arguably way more important. Meaning someone genuinely wont ever see warnings from players to stop baiting or that they might have freekilled the wrong guy.
