Foreword: Apologies for the length.

SourceBans Ban URL:
https://bans.panda-community.com/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=Axis&Submit=Search

Top of the list, none of the others are mine.

Name of your banned account:
Axis.

Steam ID:
STEAM_0:1:52053430

U:1:104106861

http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198064372589

Date and time of ban:
01-04-15 21:08 – Duration 6 months, reduced from permanent.

Reason for the ban:
Original reason was something along the lines of; “I don’t want this war, thanks”, though it could have been “not interested in this”

Edited reason: “lowered to 6 months since you dont want to create an official sorry thread in our forums.”

I’ll explain that situation in additional information.

Admin that banned you:
Kevin.

Explanation/additional information:

I expect most of you will know of the situation by this point, there has been continual friction between ExP members and Panda Community, or in particular, the admins that migrated there before the closure of BlackOut, Madact, Broski etc. Since many ex-BlackOut members had some issues with various admins, they decided to continue their own private agendas and proceeded to actively go out of their way cause issues for them, even after the closure. This included attacking said members, various degrees of harassment from what I’ve heard, along with various other incidents. This later led to a selection of bandwagoning between some of the more notable members who also thought it would be a perfect chance to have their say. By this point, most of these members have been banned on your end, or dealt with on ours.

The unfortunate result of this is that the issues seem to have escalated until it becomes less about the members and more about the networks themselves, some people went as far as to regard it as a “clan war” of sorts, taking the issue out of any reasonable context. As I know you’ve had contact with people such as Charlie who have admittedly portrayed the majority of us in a rather negative light, it has lead to some of you associating us all with the ones who want to cause issues, perhaps showing the reason behind Kevin’s decision on the 4th of January to blanket ban all of the members who were present at the time.

I was asked to write an apology thread on behalf of the entire community a few weeks ago on Kevin’s request. I objected, stating that it would be unfair on the members who have done nothing or have relinquished the grudges they held against specific members, as well as posing a potential spark to the ones who still seek to cause issues. I found myself in a position where it was neither my place, nor within my authority to create the thread openly apologising on behalf of the entire community. After several drafts I decided against it and the decision was passed along to Kevin. Shortly after, specific members who had been banned for simply being present with the ones causing issues have had their bans revoked, due to them honestly having done nothing, one appeal even stating an agreement had been made. My own, which was also permanent, was reduced to 6 months for the ban reason stated above. I didn't want to create an official apology for the aforementioned reasons along with the given fact that certain members could (and likely would) react negatively to it and proceed to cause issues, an undesirable outcome for both sides.

Despite this, I still want to appeal for myself, as well as offer some apologies. First, for not being able to control our members who actively sought to issues, whilst I was instructed not to interfere, I find my lack of opposition to that to be of poor judgement. While I was only present for a select few of the incidents, those that I was knowingly present for shouldn’t have been enabled to escalate like they did.

Furthermore, to my reaction to the ‘blanket’ ban imposed, while several of the individual bans were understandable, I found my own to be groundless, which was worsened by the removal of my forum account when attempting to make an appeal, and being blocked by Kevin when I tried to discuss it directly. Even so, the following thread was understandably unreasonable, as was avoiding the IP ban in an attempt to post it, which I will take full responsibility for, despite the involvement of several others.

For both the above, you have my sincere apologies, despite the lateness, I hope you find this acceptable on my own behalf.

To continue the appeal itself, over the past few months, I have watched the forums, come across people from Panda and have been in Mumble while some of ExP have enjoyed your servers. As a result of this, I've come to believe that your services aren't what I was led to believe, which has tempted me to make an authentic appeal, not as an ExP admin, but as a standard TF2 player. While my ban has been reduced to 6 months after some understanding was met, I feel like this would be a better chance to make an actual apology, alongside appealing to the Panda management, admins and whoever else is included in the appeal procedure.

To recap the incident itself (excuse the lack of detail compared to the original post on the 4th, I forget the majority of things over time), myself and a group of others decided to visit Panda’s services in early January, not with malicious intent, but rather due to simple curiosity. I was initially invited to the excursion shortly after they started playing Deathrun, upon arrival, they were behaving and were authentically enjoying the gamemode like any other player. Nothing notable happened on DR, so after some time they decided to go to Jailbreak, which is where the bulk of the issues began. After a lengthy freekilling massacre by certain members, jokes directed at autistic people so on so forth, Kevin joined, spectated for a while and left. The others on Mumble thought he came to do something about us simply playing on his servers, the panic subsided and they continued playing. My computer being temperamental decided it was a wonderful time to blue screen, and I later discovered that Kevin returned while I was away. Upon returning, the mumble explained that Schildkrote had been permanently banned, for what he thought was a pointless reason, I re-joined and shortly afterwards and also got permanently banned without warning or reason. I logged into the forums, got a second bluescreen, and returned to find that I had been banned there as well. Upon trying to add Kevin, I was blocked and declined, which left me with no options to appeal, during which time, I heard about each member being banned through mumble, regardless of their behaviour that day. Bypassing the forum IP ban, I posted an “appeal” asking for answers. At the time, I admittedly was quite critical in the post and Kevin removed it, same with the following thread, going as far as to enable manual account activation to prevent any more appeals. While this was viewed by some members of ExP as an attempt at censoring the incident, in hindsight, I understand that Kevin must have taken the situation rather badly, though I didn't expect such a negative approach to an appeal. After playing the peacekeeper for several weeks, discussing options and motivating Aleks to make some changes within the network to prevent future issues, we find ourselves in the current position.

I’m fairly sure the story will come across to some of you as a confirmation that various members from ExP were out to cause trouble, and you would be correct. Most of said members have already been blocked out by yourselves and have been dealt with on our end, hopefully concluding the running issues for good. The point I am trying to make, on my behalf as well as those who have never had an issue with Panda and fear going on the servers due to the recent events, is that we are not all the same, the majority of us have no issue with Panda, its administration team and playerbase, despite past experiences with various members. I myself who had several running issues with players such as Madact harbour no malicious intent directed towards the network or the individuals within, to the extent where some of us have even tried to sedate the ones who have been out to cause issues. The collective network isn't the cause, it’s a minority within it. Regarding myself, after reading and reviewing your rules I fail to find any infractions (other than the issue with the freekilling warden and friendly fire) that would have been worth a ban at all, let alone a permanent ban. The only reasonable conclusion I could make for it is the fact I was playing at the same time as several people who were known for and were actively causing issues, while Kevin’s approach was understandable considering the image the group at the time seems to have given him, I feel like appealing it now the incidents have ceased would be reasonable. This isn't a ban appeal for all the people banned, it’s for myself, most of the others who are still banned deserved it for one reason or another, I feel like mine was somewhat unjustified though.

In short, I simply wish to have the pleasure of being able play on your servers (Surf) again, while creating another account and doing so would be a valid method, taking the polite approach and making an actual appeal would be a better way of doing things. Of course, the entire issue is down to your own judgement, the appeal isn't the network one Kevin requested, though I hope you find this to be an adequate on my own behalf.

I might reply in more detail later, but I have to finish watching a film tonight and get up early tomorrow.

I just want to thank Axis for taking all the time and trouble he has in discussing and negotiating with us, and I admire him for making this thread. I vouch for everything said in it, and have no doubt of its integrity.

In short, I vote for the removal of the ban. I think he deserves it.

I to second Evo's choice, We have spoke a lot about various terms and situations in which to better the relationship and grounds between Panda and ExP, And hopefully all confrontation will now come to an End.

I may be drunk but unban this man right now before I do it.

I don't have issue with him being un-banned, so long as I do not get any hassle.
Everything happened so long ago and I moved to this community to get away from it. Of course it ended up following me when fellow friends joining and and certain events happened. But since I got kicked from BlackOut I tried my best attempt to escape from this. You mentioning that you still have issues with me makes me extremely nervous/upset. I love this community and I don't want past experiences coming here biting me on the bum when I have not bothered anyone since the whole upkeep. I'm surprised what I did still bothers you/issues you. Even if I did apologize for whatever I did I'm not sure it would help.
I mentioned to Broski and Evo when they planned this whole exp and panda together thing not to include me in it. So far I haven't been, and I would still like to keep it that way. So I would appreciate it if you do get unbanned that if we do cross paths on any panda servers that none of this past stuff arises. I left everyone well and truly alone, and I would like the same behavior back. That's all, just a request that you don't bring up anything and leave me well alone.

Apologies if it came across that way, my issues with you are long gone. Quite simply, the problems are in the past, I simply mentioned it to emphasize whatever point I was making at the time. I honestly have no problem with any of you, you'll know my behavior and reputation from BlackOut, I tend to keep to myself anyway, plus if I did get unbanned, I'd likely spend my days lurking on the Surf server in my spare time, I doubt we'd cross paths often.

I feel so much better now that you've cleared that up for me to understand better. I thought you still had an issue with me. I'm glad it's in the past now :) I think I might have known what it was and yes it was bitchy of me to do so I apologize. But since it's all good then no real need but I kinda needed to say sorry ^^;
Surf server here is rather dead though(Only peaks at 5), but you're right on that one. Unless everyone piles onto surf I most likely won't join.

Well I feel better about this then! All we need now is Kevin to say something.

@Kevin Axis has made an Appeal for Himself, not representing ExP but representing himself, We are all in favor of lifting the ban, At least recognize axis has spoke out, and in my opinion it is a big thing to have to do, I feel like unbanning him myself as I find you are being unreasonable when it comes to this ban, majority is all fo rremoving it so please, can we just remove the ban?

Unbanned fuck the police.

Unbanned fuck the police.
re-banned.
i lowered the ban to 1 week, should i hear anything bad about you after that time i will set it back to perm.
also you should thank that people who voted for your unban, i only would've given you a chance if that part with the several registrations and that try-hard bypass of ip bans wouldnt be.
tho i appreciate it that you made that appeal thread afterwards to show atleast some evidence for it not like certain other people who probably stands under Aleks'es pressure to shut up and say nothing (atleast thats what i can see out of those plenty conversations we had), neither several other parts regarding EXP staff management but that doesnt fit here.

just dont screw it up again and we are all fine :)

aand take this:

I see, thanks for your time, and thank you to everyone who read and supported it thus far, I owe you all for this outcome. I sincerely doubt we'll have any issues beyond this point, here's to a more pleasant time than the events leading up to this.
Kind regards.
