Steam name: gbeam
Steam ID32: Unsure (He hasnt been on the server so I cant really find it)
Server: Jailbreak US (Im guessing 1?)
Links: Unsure
Rules broken:
If he gets away with this, it will just give him another excuse to keep saying it to players and brush it off as “I meant killbind.”
There’s been a lot of discussion about whether what gbeam said counts as “ragebait” or not, but the severity of the message speaks for itself. Telling someone to kill themselves is not just a cheap insult, it’s a phrase that carries real-world weight, and that alone makes it unacceptable no matter the intent. When players start asking whether this was ragebait or not, it already shows how severe the wording was, because nobody would question a harmless joke or simple banter.
The fact that the person targeted, aphid, immediately used !call for an admin proves that it wasn’t received as lighthearted. Aphid interpreted it as hostile and offensive enough to request moderation support right away. That alone highlights how damaging and inappropriate the phrase was in this context. Even if someone tries to spin it afterwards as “killbind,” the reality is that the target didn’t take it that way, and neither did other players in the chat who reacted with concern.
If we let excuses like “I meant killbind” stand, it opens the door for players to repeat the same behavior and hide behind weak justifications whenever they’re called out. This isn’t just a one-time slip, it’s the kind of language that can spread toxicity if not dealt with properly. Ragebait or not, the damage was done the moment the phrase was typed, and the community rules are very clear that offensive and inappropriate language isn’t tolerated.
Ultimately, the response of the victim and the surrounding players is the best indicator of severity, and here it’s obvious that the line was crossed. This isn’t about nitpicking words, it’s about protecting the community from behavior that is harmful, disruptive, and corrosive if left unchecked.
As well seeing how several other people ingame and in this forum itself reporting him, it indicates how toxic and negative he impacts this server itself.
Summary, Why?

Rules broken:
- 2a – Offensive & Inappropriate language
- By telling another player to “kys,” gbeam directly violated the rule against insults, provoking language, and offensive content.
- 2h – Obstructing administrators
- His dismissive forum responses (“are you done?” followed by deletion) obstruct proper moderation and waste admin time by downplaying the seriousness of the report.
- 3c – General disruptive behaviour
- The incident disrupted normal gameplay and forum discussion, escalating conflict rather than contributing constructively to the community.
- 3g – Threatening Panda Community staff, players, or infrastructure
- “kys” is reasonably interpreted as a threat directed at another player. Regardless of intent, it falls under threatening language and violates this rule.
If he gets away with this, it will just give him another excuse to keep saying it to players and brush it off as “I meant killbind.”

Summary, Why?
- Precedent: If he isn’t punished, others will copy the excuse (“it just means killbind”), making the rule unenforceable.
- Severity: “kys” is universally understood as a harmful/serious phrase, not a joke.
- Lack of remorse: Instead of apologizing, he mocked the report (“are you done?” then deleted it). That shows he knows what he did and doesn’t care.
