Finding steam profiles (1 Viewer)

If I cant find somebodies profile on steam so that I can get there SteamID, what am I supposed to do? Especially if their name is just a lenny face or something.

If they played on a Panda server, you can find them and their Steam ID here by going to the server they played on and finding their username.

Otherwise, you can change your steam settings to show people's custom URLs and look that up in a Steam ID finder.

Launch Steam, then follow the following steps.
Press Steam (top right) >> Settings >> Interface >> Select Display Steam URL address bar when available

But another question, as you said I can find them when they "played" on the server using the link? How do I find the people who were playing on it ~1 hour ago or so? I don't see anywhere obvious to show previous players.

You can leave the game, go on the friends page at steam here:

then go to 'recently played with' and it'll show the people from your past sessions.

You should also enable mouse input on the scoreboard in advanced settings, then you can access their steam profile by right-clicking their name on the tab menu ingame.

You can also find their steam profile by first opening console and then typing "status" when they are in the same server as you

Then this will show up and the only important part is the ID found on the right next to the Username of that specific player
Copy pasting may be hard because for me it doesnt show whats being highlighted

After you have copied that ID you can paste it in SteamRep in the search bar and hit enter.

Not only can you find the Steam profile (Beneath the Username), but also a lot more info than just their steam profile and ID

Another method to view players you have recently played with, is to use the Steam overlay, where you click "view players", then switch over to "recent games". It tells you which game and when you met the players. You can click the hypertext "Profile" to view a specific profile too.
