As it stands, these two weapons are single-handedly responsible for an overly oppressive playstyle, while classes that are supposed to be melee-focused, such as Demoknight, feel left behind

The suggestion will be very straightforward regarding Pyro:

- Remove the Volcano Fragment/Reset it back to its standard TF2 stats
- Keep it as it is
(Another change, write a comment as to what that include)

Since I cannot imagine another change that would remove the inherent oppressiveness, these two options will be the only ones.

As for the KGB Heavy, I have the following:

- Remove the healing aspect entirely
- Keep as it is

Heavy, due to his inherent flaw of not being able to simply escape fights and being the slowest class, isn't as oppressive as Pyro's Fragment. However, the damage resistance and healing aspect are too much. Hence why I would only suggest to remove the healing aspect.

Please write a comment if you wish to suggest another change entirely. Don’t just vote for 'Another suggestion' without providing any input, I can't read your mind.

iam all for removing the Volcano fragment playstyle but i think pyro do need another stable playstyle instead of yet another demoknight class.

Kgb healing is a bit op, id say nerf the healing he receives from it instead of removing it all together.

I am of belief that this melee loadout for heavy is really strong, but mainly due to how much he can heal himself. With that fact and that medics can save his ass, I think a better Idea for KGB is to reduce the health on hit to 15 like eyelander, but also cut off medic's healing.

As for the volcano?
Fff... I dunno, Remove it for now, short range class became tanky cuss of this and there's nothing else for him? Either Volcano or no pyro. So it would be nice if someone could brainstorm some ideas outside of tankiness.

I think the Volcano fragment has been the only viable playstyle for pyro that encourages close combat.
The fact that pyro has other weapons which require same distance in battle ARE not used as often as volcano fragment. Overall it's tankiness and health replenishment seem to be almost unfair to fight against.

Perhaps KGB could have its health replenishment reduced or entirely removed, so it is used only to absorb damage and survive, but not to outheal the boss' damage.

For the KGB:
- just reduce the health gained per hit by at least 50%
- add the stat that blocks all healing except the on-hit effect of the kgb
- add another passive that reduces the generel healing gained so they cant switch out of the kgb to the shotgun/familiy-business, get a quick health buff (e.g. health packs, crossbow shots) and go back right into battle to avoid the healing penalty entirely

Volcano fragment:
i think there are 2 ways/ideas
1:
- the volcano fragment gets his on hit healing gained reduced (e.g. also by 33%-50%)
- also remove the afterburn healing that pyros receive when they use the volcano fragment
--> if thats too much i prefer the afterburn healing effect to be removed because imo thats how most pyro survive encounters when they cant hit you 24/7 so they gain a huge amount of hp with 1 melee hit
2:
- like many others said pyro needs an alternative playstyle, e.g. when he uses the phlogs uber that he receives damage resistence and minimal health on hit gain during the phlog taunt to encourage more high risk high gain close combat opportunities (for that the damage required to use the phlog taunt need to be adjusted)

-->in the end i wouldnt completely remove the healing-effects/dmg-reduction of either the KGB or the Volcano fragment otherwise these weapons are becoming last resort options which is bad/not-ideal
