I was asked to make this post since a plugin change is kind of a drastic change, so here we go. Switching to Rewrite is kind of a no-brainer but I'd still like to see what people think.
Rewrite mostly has changes that are useful for developers but there are still some changes that players would notice.
What features does Rewrite have to offer?
- Improved stablity - less crashes, less bugs, better perfomance, you name it.
- Reworked boss selection - Instead of selecting one boss at a time, players have a choice to "whitelist" multiple bosses that they like, and on their round it selects one of the whitelisted bosses.
- Reworked Duo bosses - Players have a choice to select if they want to play as the main duo boss, or their companion. It's also possible to invite any player to a duo.
- Reworked HUD.
- Integrated support for custom weapon attributes, allowing some cool new modifications.
- And several other boring technical stuff.
One of the features Rewrite is unfortunately missing is shield type:
ff2_shield_type (1) | 0-None, 1-Breaks on any hit, 2-Breaks if it'll kill, 3-Breaks if shield HP is depleted or melee hit, 4-Breaks if shield or player HP is depleted
However I believe it can be added back along with some other minor missing features.
