with reference to https://www.panda-community.com/threads/ff2-add-market-gardener-set-to-demoman.34922/ and the discourse that surrounds this.

demoman has two viable loadouts or play styles of mention:
  1. BIS Scottish resistance paired up with anything (mostly): trap demo; very little to no risk at all, near guaranteed to get a free 3.5k damage score every match if they play their cards right
  2. Most used Hybrid knight: fish for 4 heads and backpedal indefinitely whilst abusing taunt crits
every other loadout for demoman is either cannon fodder, lacking in safety or damage output.
the only other loadout or weapon matter to speak of is the stickybomb launcher or quickie bomb launcher, these weapons are never played unless someone is playing something like booties, quickie and eyelander, which is a very fickle loadout that relies on getting a good amount of heads to snowball, which even then is still weak.

proposal: make the bootlegger have only these stats
  • -65% blast damage from blast jumps

    no additional stats or anything, no extra health, this is the only stat the item will have.
and no, there's no market garden demoman attached to this, it's just

This change will just lead to delaying and nothing else. Besides demoman doesn't need another playstyle, there are other classes that actually need something new like scout.
 
I'd like to know what playstyle this change would encourage if added
The only thing that i can possibly think is quickie x eyelander, but that will just turn into the same cat and mouse chase that the hybrid knight currently has
