- General online times and your timezone:
I’m regularly online between 16.00-22.00 (GMT +2, I live in Finland) on weekdays.
Not online like all the time from 4-10 but pop up around every now and then). Weekends are super sparodic with other scheduled things I have to do outside the internet. I try to be online for 2 hours/day. I’m always online when the prophunt server will get loads of players at the same time.


- Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for? Would you visit a broader range of servers in case of a report?
I’m pretty well known on #09 Deathrun and #21 Prophunt, I also surf a lot on #11 Surf. I’m applying for Admin on the #21 Prophunt server. I am totally up to joining any server in case a call comes in.


- Do you have a microphone?:
Yes, I do. Using it sometimes, mostly to talk to others and answer questions and comments.


- Past experiences as Admin or Moderator
Was a half mod, half donator on TF2Infinity for some time, everyone knew and respected me but never had the authority of adminstrating. The server is closed nowadays.


- Do you have experience with administrating with SourceMod?
No, not really, only really know the beginner basics. But I am a quick learner and willing to do what is required of me to learn them. Will have a list of the commands easily accessible (on a PostIt or something) so response will be fast.


- Why should we choose you to be part of our team?
I have some problems with prophunt right now. Most of them are players, not the mode. There are currently no admins on the server and I think it could really need one. On the prophunt server I sometimes see unbehaving people.

Ghosting is a problem I would like to see end. I see two friends come online and one stays in spectator mode and gives the location of the props to the seeker. Having an admin would help stop things like this from happening.

Even though I’m inexperienced, I am a fast learner and I enforce the rules whenever I’m online, even now when I am “just” a donator. I usually report racist and toxic chat messages to an admin in private chat. They can’t do much about it since there are no admins on PH. There are some “small” things like bad sprays or insulting people that I can’t do anything about.

I am super active on the Panda servers as well as on the forums. I know all the rules and I have a clean history (My only red flag ever was swearing to a toxic player who got on everyone’s nerves. It only happened once, and it will be the last time aswell. Admins can’t get emotional when dealing with douchebag players).

I’m not just a trigger happy, rule enforcer nazi, hope I don’t come across as that. I’m super chill and can take everything with a grain of salt. If someone says one swear word, it’s not like I would insta ban them or anything, I would understand them, it’s just something in the heat of the moment, not bannable.
My point being, I can be a FAIR admin (more on this in the next section).

I used to have binds with Lenny faces but I cut them all because an admin should set an example on what do and not do. A Lenny spamming admin is not the example I want to set.

Chat and language:

Spam = Advertising sites or hacks, impersonation of admins, lenny spamming etc…


(Includes all areas) After 5 punishments I think the player deserves a Permanent Ban. You can’t screw up 5 times and say it was just a “joke” or “mistake”. So 5+ = PermBan


  • Chat:

    • For people who spam in chat, I would give 2 warnings. If the spamming continues, I will opt for a 1h, 3h or 12h-gag depending on the severity and things said in chat. The same with insulting but instead of gag, I would use bans.

    • Foreign language: I would ask for the player to stop, if the player doesn’t stop after 1 minute or 2 warnings, the player will receive a 24h-gag
- Voice chat:

  • To high pitched players, I would ask them to stop (ONLY if it’s annoying to others, got nothing against younger players). Otherwise I’ll give just a 1 hour gag.

  • Song spamming: Instant 12 hour gag.

  • Bad mics or stupid utterance: Ask them to close the mic, if not, then a 4 hour gag

  • Foreign language: Same as in chat

  • Harassment or insulting: I would give 1 warning, but if the player doesn’t stop, I will ban him/her for 1h, 4h, 24h or give a perma ban.
- Racist comments will be dealt with. If the comment was intentional and directed towards someone, the player will have to apologize to the victim or face a harsh punishment (1 week or so depending on what was said).
If a player just said it because of frustration or anger after dying or something, the player will be warned, then 24 hour (and upwards) banned.
Over all, I will only judge players based on what I witnessed and saw after calls, the context is important.

Hacking:

  • If I have a sufficient amount of evidence of hacking I will perma ban the player.
!call abuse:

  • I would give 1 warning, then a 24 hour or 48 hour ban. If this happens again, it will lead to a permanent ban.
Prophunt specific rules:

  • For ghosting, I would warn the player(s). After that I would give a 24 hour ban. I would go straight for a big ban since I hate these people because they do the exact opposite of what you’re supposed to do; searching for the enemy. Ghosters take the fun out of the game.

  • Exploiting the map: A slay and a warning

  • Offensive/disturbing/porn sprays: Would ask them to hide the spray, if not, a kick.

  • Questions about !propreroll/propmenu: I have a key bound to a message that tells everyone that this command is not available and my motivation why.

It is evident you have put effort into making your app, though there are a few things I consider wrong.

Admin impersonation is not spam, unless the 'admin' is spamming his binds.

I'd suggest not issuing 1 hour gags/bans/mutes - in my opinion, they are too short. Furthermore, if a player breaks a chat-rule, you are required to issue a gag, and never a ban - regardless of the severity or reason.

Don't 24 hours seem a bit too harsh?

Again, 24 hours for a first offense is a tad severe.

Do you really think they will apologize?
You, again, went with a punishment that's really cruel - 1 week. 1 week punishments are issued if the player has already gotten 4 penalties.
Again, chat rule broken -> gag. Bans are meant for hackers, !calladmin abusers, inappropriate sprays, etc.

Once again, too much (unless the player has a few bans on record).

As an administrator, you must not allow your hatred towards something to cloud your judgement.

This isn't a prophunt-specific thing - it's present on all servers.

Go and have a look at the SourceBans page. Looking at the ban/gag/mute lengths will give you a better understanding of the things I've mentioned, and will also (most likely) encourage you to modify the way you would punish rule-breakers.

Oh, this was unexpected.
Well, since there are no Prophunt admins at the moment, I feel like I could share my point of view related to the applier.

El Capitan has been quite active on the Deathrun #9 server, so I've manage to gather enough info on him. He has never been the type of guy to cause any kind of trouble, so I don't think a negative feedback should be given.
  • Your chatlog seems very clean, and with several rule enforcement. Very nice!
  • Your sessions seem alright recently, but it appears you've only started getting more active at the start of this month (noticed the cuts between session from September bellow).
  • As mentioned by Noot Noot, you don't have any comm blocks or bans. Also very nice!
  • You seem to have enough playtime on the server.
The app:
Looks good at first glance, although the punishment lengths could use some work (e.g. you say you would punish a spammer for 1 hour on first offense, while for a foreign language you immediately strike with a 24 hour gag also on first offense. This just seems a bit exagerated. To me, I would give out the same punishment lengths for both rules). Then again, as I stated in previous apps and I'll keep saying, the trial fase has the very own purpose of teaching our recent admins to learn how to deal with these type of situations. So I guess this could be sorted out later on.

Overall, I really don't see why he shouldn't be an admin. So take my +1.

From what i see and from what my ph people tell me he deserve a chance for trial and the server needs it. So +1
 
declining this as i've talked with @Nightascythe and decided that it aint necessary (atleast for now) to have an dedicated admin on ph and aswell due to your low activity.
