I don't know how realistic this is really of a thing to change, but something personally needs to be done about the donate page. When I initially saw it, I was like "Cool a way to donate and get perks for a server I might play". This was back in September and I wanted to try them out so I paid for one month. I have yet to receive my perks at all and that does feel like an issue. You pay for something expecting to get it in roughly 24 hours according to the page itself.

This feels extremely misleading? Almost implying that yeah you will receive your perks in roughly a day or two days time. However I found out I am not the only person who has been waiting a while. When asked on Jailbreak I've heard people waiting upwards of 6 months to even receive their perks. While asking on the discord, I was told just "Good luck" and it can take upwards to 6 months? I think something should geniunely be said on the page to inform people that if you want to donate for the perks. Be prepared to wait upwards of 6 months to even get your perks, or to update these more frequently. I've done as said in the photo, but I don't think it is unreasonable to request the update on the page itself or to receive perks. For people who now found out about this issue, while waiting on their perks. There is a small caveat that feels very wrong considering the nature of finding out that it won't be a quick process.

Banning for people refunding because they found out this is an issue does feel a bit extreme. To cheat the system that is one thing, but this just implies at any time you do so you are banned.

Automated donations are already pending addition, I’ll leave this up for any more feedback / the idea of removing refund bans

i think another solution would be to transfer the control of applying donator privileges to someone like @Madact given that madact is more active within the comunity in general and would also mean that kevin can just focus on more server related issues (new maps , server hardware stuff etc)

So here's the thing, I'm a software engineer and part-time server manager for my own video game. Executing a single database query to add a donor to a table is not an arduous, difficult task that takes 7 months. This is laziness, and I am not going to excuse it. It is not hard to find the time out of one day of the week to spend the ~30 minutes tops it takes to add every recent donor to the database. This is ridiculous that this is an issue.

Ive been waiting since about early oct, so not as long as some but i do still think you should get your benefits faster. and something like what @CutePyro0 suggested is a good idea in my eyes, however idk how donation adding works so idk if its something only kevin can do, or potentially be automated

I understand the frustration with getting donor status, since it does take awhile. Personally, I would like to see people's/player's donor status taken away in a more timely manner if they are not donating per the time outlined or did not do the lifetime amount. People/players that have fallen behind in their donations vs perks should not still get those perks.

I'm just waiting for my donator but I think I could have done it wrong. sent money to Kevin a couple weeks ago and don't know if he understood why it was sent or was just confused about it lol

i'm closing this up - its being known of and i'm working on it.

not sure why its not OK to ban people who make a chargeback but ok - this rule exists in basically all other communities aswell.
