Hello! Im going to make an Admin Application for Panda servers!
I want to start this application out on a personal note because I want to say to all those who supported me on my last app I am truly sorry, I messed up and wasn't thinking through a situation that ended up with me being removed but I have learned from my mistakes and want to have another chance to make it up to those who gave me a chance and show them that I can do this. I also want to say I am truly grateful for the chance you gave me last time.

I am one of the only Americans that play on your servers so im a bit of a different case due to time different.




- Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for? Would you visit a broader range of servers in case of a report?

I want to apply on Class Warfare #8, I will also like to apply for Deathrun #9 for administrator. I have around 2 days in playtime in both servers. Yes, I will visit almost all servers mostly because I love to explore different types of gametypes and learn about the people who play there.


- Do you have a microphone?

Yes, I do have a microphone built into my Laptop computer that I use in game. I will most likely use my mic over chat communication. I also have gone on mumble almost everyday using my mic to communicate there also.


- Your previous experience as Admin or Moderator

I was an admin here on panda community for 2 weeks where I did do some admin work on Class Warfare and some slight work on Hightower USA. I was also an admin on a small Garry’s Mod server where I did some kicks, gags, and sometimes bans. I was also an admin on a small minecraft community back in 2011 where I did some kicks and bans for griefing and harassment of other players, I left that community when I became bored of minecraft.

If I am added I would love to improve my admin skills and types of situations where I can learn from the experience. With these previous admin positions I have learned that all players should be treated with respect, kindness and equality.

- Do you have experience with administering with SourceMod?

Yes, as I said I was an admin for Class Warfare so I know how to kick, ban, slay, slap and do all the types of commands. I also have a guide that I can look up if I need to be reminded of the commands for administration. Since Class Warfare has lots of bugs I used these types of commands a lot to make sure the gametype would keep working correctly. Since last time I became very familiar with all the types of commands for administrator on these types of servers. These types of commands will help me enrich my knowledge of dealing with the situations that admins usually go through. In Deathrun you uses commands to kick and slap people who are skipping traps and doing general bad behavior.



- Why should we choose you to be part of our team?

I want to part of your team because I want to show others that I can be a nice person and help the community by becoming an admin. I also want to be an admin because this is such a nice community with the nicest people. I have lots of good friends who are admin and are helping so I want to be part of the helping group and be nicest person that I can be. I think that being part of this community is very good because I love to have fun and socialize with other admins and members of the group.


This community is lots of fun because it has a variety of nice honest people who are the best to have fun with! If I get admin I would love to socialize with all the types of admins and members so then hopefully we all can become great friends. The best part about the community is the good times we have playing the game! Giving me a chance to become an admin would be very good because I would love to help the community while socializing and becoming very good friends with others who enjoy these servers also! As an admin I would respect and be kind to become a great friend for all while helping the community grow and prosper.




- Finally, please briefly explain how you would do your job, e.g. a general overview of your policies and punishments.

In my punishments I believe that all players should have 1 or 2 chances before a punishment or consequence is implemented. These are the punishments I would use in the situation.


Hacking- PERMABAN with a Demo recording to back up the proof

Racism/sexism- 2 warning then kick if the person comes back and continues ban for an hour

Insulting- 2 warnings then kick if the person comes back and continues then ban for an hour

-Using Cloak and Dagger to delay 2 warnings then a kick if continues ban for 10 minutes

-Ghosting- 2 warnings then a kick if person comes back and continues then ban for 30 minutes (If someone ghosts a person delay this is an exception)

-Map Exploiting- 2 warnings then kick if the person comes back and continues ban for an hour

-Mic Spam- 2 warnings if continued the person will be muted for an hour

-Chat spam- 2 warnings if continued the person will then get a gag for an hour

-AFK- Slay one round if still away then kick
-Using BHOP to skip traps is a warning then kick then afterward ban for an hour or 30 minutes

-Admin Disrespect warn the player 1 time if continued with the disrespect ban for 1 hour

-Making fun of diseases or types of horrible events in history is not acceptable such as a person making fun of 9/11 or cancer or Aids in this case I would kick with 1 warning then ban for an hour.

-If player wants to trade something without using the trade chat I will direct them to use trade chat with /t example, if they continue then I will gag them for 30 minutes

-If player has a pornographic spray I will warn them to remove and not use it, if they continue I will slay them for a round if continued again I will ban for 30 minutes

-Not speaking in english in voice or chat will be 2 warnings then if the player continues then a gag/mute for 1 hour.

-Spawn Camping will result in 3 warnings then a slay for the round if the player continues then

they will be banned for 15 minutes

-General disruptive behavior that is making the gamemode hard to play or less fun for other players is 2 warnings then a 1 hour ban

Joe is a very nice and friendly person although very immature, I believe in my personal opinion that the trial period and strict mentoring can sort this issue out.

He is very helpful in the servers and alerts me to rule-breakers all the time, he has become my second Call-bot. He also reminds players on the server he is on of the rules of the server and helps (albeit to no effect due to his member status) me out with things that I miss.

Regarding the first time around, I was told repeatedly you were, Abusing your powers, Also when on Freak Fortress you also tried to have me and Mermite punish certain players, these players did not require punishment yet you insisted we punish them, Not forgetting how you complained about not recieving calls from your server (Some would say this is a good thing) But you constantly complained, Also while first applying you would not quit with "Hows my app?" leading to annoyence, You come across very needy and do not seem to understand what it means to be an admin from past experiences.

Another point I would like to make is also expressing how you did not care for the server you were responsible for and doing all you could to get another server, leading to a lot of broken trust, You do not seem to care for the community but only for yourself, Admitting you may be in some cases mature I still think you are not mature enough, and it only seemed the Tag is all you wanted.

Having been removed as an admin the way you reacted was....well, you put on quite a show to say the least, you did not take responsibility for your actions only uttering "I only tried to help" and "I always mess things up" I feel you invest way too much in other peoples opinions instead of valuing your own, basing your choices around the approval of your peers, in some cases you will have to make choices you do not like or agree with it may upset others, and, in light of recent events you do not seem to stand by your descisions often changing them once again to gain approval, referring back to your removal, I has messeged by people I will not name that you were and I quote:

"Begging for +1's"
"Will not stop talking about his app"
"I've told him to leave me alone, he wont go away"

I have personal experience with this kind of behavior too, and when I have given you my opinion you have always said
"Okay Ill listen to you, Ill stop talking about it"
"Okay Ill be quiet I'll just shut up"
I am yet to see any change, it is clear you have never took my advice and you simply move onto another person seeking approval.

It is evident this App will get a -1 from me, due to all of the above, and you inabiliy to listen, there have been cases where I have recieved messeges from other people, telling me that you have been speaking about certain people/players in a negative way, which leads me to ask, Why should I or anyone trust you? to put it simply with all you have done it is difficult for me to trust you, I feel betrayed, I have given you many chances be it from a simple annoyence to, more recent events.

I could continue, but I think with what I have put here, this is enough, and this is all that people need to see, as when the events took place there where many people I spoke to about the situation.

Not sure what specifically you're referring to. I made a thread in which I re-posted the message I sent Joe at the time, so that everyone would know what was up. That's about it. I don't really have much to say about this app in particular.

Joe, as I have said in mumble I was very sure that I would + you but my opinion has changed alot in the last hour.

You have always given me the picture that your demotion was a big mistake and a unfair decision. I have never really had an issue with you asking people to + your app and I have never had problem with you often complaining about your demotion (I used to agree that your demotion was an unfair decision) but now after reading Broskis post and talking with him about you a little bit, my overall picture of you as a person had changed alot, I still think that you have some good qualities to become an Admin but I honestly don't think that you deserve that second chance anymore.

With that said you get a 0 from me at the moment. I know that you were counting on my + vote and I hope that you don't feel betrayed. I will be keeping enjoying to play and talk with you, it's just that I am not sure if I want you as an Admin anymore.

I've read all the comments here and I'm going to stick to my decision for his last app.

As it is people aren't trusting him since he didnt do his last job very well. But I've been talking with joe, chatting and etc.
And as I see it. He really wants his position back. he didnt do a good job last time which have broken the trust from a lot of people.

But I know he can do much better than last time. I still trust him and give him my full support. If he manage to get the position back I'll be there if he needs me.

I've been told to come and make my decisions. I personally don't want to but since I'm being told to make my vote public I really have no choice.

Let's recap back to why Joe was removed. Joe was removed by Evo with the following statement;

As you have already had about two monts of time to reflect on, from the beginning when you first applied for admin you were pushy. Constantly inquiring about things; and when you were declined moaning about how you did not even get a chance. The second time you applied you received the required support to be accepted; but FF2 was full. You would not stop asking during the process whether we could really not just use "one more", by which logic several other declined applicants could have been accepted. Nonetheless I knew how much you wanted it, so I let you take the position on Class Warfare and USA hightower, as suitable testing and training grounds.

When you actually had your chance, you would not stop talking about how you were not getting reports, even after having been told numerous times that people in Class Warfare are not aware of the call; and that regular administration is imperative. When I looked at your activity a few days back I saw that you had literally played on Class Warfare twice in over a week after becoming an admin. I gave you a much more pressing push in mumble and you said that you would visit it more often. In the meantime however, not a week after you were accepted you were already once again going on about how you wanted FF2. Do I even have to reiterate once more how clearly you were told that you could not have it because it was already filled to the brim? Notwithstanding, I was considering it; but as you know I had no opportunity nor motivation to think the issue through the past two days, what with the checkup just having been done which took me about two hours to coordinate towards the end to finish it up.

When I was at my university yesterday and checked the forums on my phone in the break, I saw that you posted to add you under FF2. What can I say, I was shocked. Could you really have gone behind my back - scratch that, everyone's back - and just asked Kevin about it? Were you really still this impatient and immature that you could not wait three days for an answer to a question that did not stand much of a chance from the start? I was absolutely baffled. I pushed for your immediate removal.

Making use of the fact that Kevin is not as aware of the staff situation as I and the FF2 admins are; going behind my back to get exactly what you want. If that is really how you want to play it, I thought, then I don't think that you deserve to have admin rights at all. It's not just the going behind my back. I'm not that oppressive. It's the fact that this has been going on from the start, and culminated in this action. It was not only immature, it was also inconsiderate. You acquired FF2 illegitimately, and were not active on Class Warfare. There was no reason for you to retain rights anywhere; you didn't deserve it.

So now you know exactly what the problem was. As for the future? You said that Hightower was boring. And that's okay. If you don't want Hightower, you don't want Hightower. I figured that you'd want it if you could have admin on it, seeing as how that seemed to be the most important thing to you of all. You've made it quite clear by now that you don't want (just) Class Warfare. Don't try to bounce back and ask for a second chance on there by saying, as you did to Kevin, that you "liked it" - because you clearly did not. That was reflected in your activity, and by the fact that you already asked to have FF2 a week into getting admin; which culminated in what happened yesterday. Saying that you liked it would only be for the sake of getting it back because having Class Warfare would be better than having nothing.

So to directly answer the issue of a second chance: you're not getting your admin back now. It is clear that as far as adminning goes what you want is Freak Fortress, with Class Warfare on the side, probably. Therefore you can apply again when apps for FF2 are opened back up some time in the future. Nobody could say when that is, so please do not keep asking about it.

That is pretty much the full, detailed story. Nothing should be left out so no questions should have to be asked. However, should there be any questions which I did not answer here (and I press you to check before you try to ask) you can naturally turn to me with them. But I will not keep going into questions that I have already answered, let's get that out of the way right now.

I'n here it mentions that you where not satisfied with the amount of players on Class Warfare. So you pushed to FF2. I told you that I might consider you on DR so long as you improved up a little. Showed me that you have the correct attitude to do this.
After you got rejected you slightly matured up. You didn't speak about it. You addressed your concerns to me and I was fine with you doing a little venting. I personally know what it's like to be kicked.
But when the date was drawing near of you being available for you to apply again you got a little pushy. I told you that DR is filling up and I wasn't sure if we needed anymore help. I would surely squeeze some more now that @Lukas is a full admin now but...I want trial admins that I know that are up to the bar.
I started doubting when you got pushy about when you should apply and that other people where getting promoted and accepted. In fact, every time someone makes an admin you make it sound like it's the end of the world!
There is also the time where you have talked behind fellow admin's backs. At first I thought it was just them giving you attitude. But when you decided to go and talk about me being slightly inactive and how I was only taking calls and not being active on DR for a bit suddenly apparently I need removing. What. When confronting you with the issue you said sorry without having knowledge and what you actually said and told me to not argue. Which actually, sometimes in this community no one wants to confront problem head on x.x
You're constantly worried about what other people think of you. That's a massive warning sign to me. It means you'll be afraid to punish certain individuals because of 'what they will think'. Or, I sure hope that's not the case.
After you being pushy, constantly talking about it I gave up and said that you should apply. I'm slightly regretting it.
And according to what others have said about you acting to certain people not giving your +1's . I'm not sure if this is true and all but when you put up the app you hide somewhere and started talking to the others and I've been getting some feedback off them.
When speaking to Lukas about my concerns, I'm concerned that he doesn't understand that we're not that desperate for help on DR. We do need some trials, but since @Redspike came to the mark he's covered a lot all ready which something I wasn't expecting. @Creepz is also back on and active away right now so things are getting a little tough. We don't really need extra hands, other admins from other servers come to play on DR so it's not like it's not covered at all.
So that leaves you to apply for just Class Warfare...Which you complain about there not being enough members. So what's the point applying? If you get the position, will you complain again? You got what you wanted after telling us but soon after you complained constantly and that's when the evo issue came. Evo no longer wants to concern himself within staff problems, so previous concerns on Evo's side are out the window unless Evo wants to step into this.
Also considering this. If you apply for class warfare and deathrun, you'll only appear on deathrun. We all ready have enough help there. May I also everyone, draw your attention to his stats. He hasn't visited Class Warfare for a very long time. This app really, is for Deathrun.


Though you have been enforcing the rules. Very active. Looking at just this and not your attitude outside of the gameservers you're perfect. But now, taking into consideration your odd forum posts that do not contribute anything enlightening to the conversation, your behavior with fellow administration and your attitude towards myself with being pushy and rude outbursts to the fellow team I believe for now you are not suitable. It looked promising at first. If you kept your head on track and didn't show signs of potential problems for the future I would of plus 1'd this. But considering everything mentioned, it's a -1.

Seeing you following the rules, warning other people about it and being active is something very positive about you.

But for some parts the others are saying above, I actually have to admit the truth and have to agree with them...

After discussing with Lukas about this over the past few days and here's my opinion:

I've known Joe for longer than i'd like to think and from personal experience I believe Joe to be one of the most honest, truthful, friendly, helpful, and decent human beings around. He only ever wants to help and I have seen a change over the past few months. You have matured (even if its only slightly) and you have shown remorse for your previous actions as admin. I remember you putting this up and me thinking "I'll give a negative because *reasons similar to Broski*" HOWEVER; I believe, that you do want to help the community, and though DR isn't in dire need of any trials, saying that Creepz is fully active is a slight bit of misinformation. Though it says he is active, he connects for about 20 mins and then leaves. Joe is very similar to Creepz in this matter in that they only connect for brief amounts of time (from the MOST recent connections) and so both candidates are perfect for the role. Right, now what I really want to address, the previous negative comments:

Broski:
Broski and Joe have known each other for a long time and Joe has the tendency to get on Broski's nerves with his persistence (not always a bad thing) and so I'm fine with what Broski has to say, that's how he feels Joe will react.

Hurley:
There is nothing wrong in asking for support, though it does seem like he's begging, he's asking you as a friend whether you have got his back or not. You shouldn't change his opinion based on the fact that Broski has a personal feud with him.

Skiffa:
OMG Really!? You're going to give him a minus vote for wanting to be your friend!? You kick him from your mumble channel, you ignore him when he tries to talk to you!? He tries to be nice to you and you throw it all back in his face. Again, all he wants is to be friends with the community and get along with everyone and you are adamant on not letting him do so because... you just don't like him. Plain and simple.

Redspike:
You're basing your opinion off what others think rather than your own personal opinions, but whatever, I've done this before so I won't critique you.

I was expecting a +1 from you. After encouraging Joe to upload his app after he was so apprehensive about uploading it. After talking with Joe, he isn't worried what people think of him, he is worried what we, as his friends think about him, which should matter. I'm concerned what everyone is going to think of me after I post this, some of you may think I'm a complete arsehole and other will think it's somewhat gutsy to go with minority when the majority are all my best friends and this may puncture their opinions on me, but whatever.

You're basing your opinion off what others think rather than your own personal opinions, but whatever, I've done this before so I won't critique you.

After much thought, I'm going to give Joe my +1 because:

1. I've seen change in him.
2. It's a trial period, if it doesn't work out we simply remove him.
3. I've truly seen change in Joe, I can't explain it in words, but I feel like he has proven himself decent enough to become (at least) a trial admin.

Anyway, the reason I am giving this +1 is because I feel recently Joe has been helping with the community a lot more such as giving demos to Madact about rule breakers and not going on about his app as much and I feel he'll be a lot better the second time around.

I have to say that in all honesty whether people have a personal grudge against someone like Joe it should not affect the professional opinion because I know Joe from another community he was always trying his hardest to help out admins from what I could see and I feel that he would actually make a damn good admin he is friendly and you can help a good laugh with him sometimes I mean there may be times where Joe sounds down in the dumps but we all have those days and if people think that from hearing/seeing Joe once in a server and not several times in a way I feel that those don't really count so why not talk to Joe and get to know the guy he is a good mate and again I feel he will be a good admin.

Here is my thought on Joe:
Joe can be a quiet person at times but that is a good thing because the quiet ones hear EVERYTHING.
