I have wrote this small suggestion regarding the rules on deathrun, specifically skipping traps.

A trap which has been activated, and poses no risk to a players death, should be by all means be available to be avoided in any way the player chooses, whether to go a separate route or another.

Example: Going around a trap with a lava pool, a large open space on the sides, with a block in the centre. If this trap has been activated, and the block in the middle cannot be pushed upwards, sideways etc, the player should be able to freely choose whichever route they see is best suited for them.

Example 1: Use the block in the centre of the lava trap to progress forward making two jumps.
Example 2: Choose to manoeuvre around the block in the centre by jumping around the block, this case would mostly be used by Bunny-Hoppers, to dramatically lower risk of hitting the block in the centre and falling into said lava trap.

The skipping rule should only be effective when: A player uses a mechanic such as Bunny-Hopping or Exploiting to skip an ENTIRE trap (which has not been activated, and poses risk to any player) onto the other side, whether it be directly forward, around, or above. Bunny-Hopping towards / going slightly onto a trap, but rapidly turning around as to BAIT the death into activating, should not count as a skip, as the player has not met the other side of the trap, making the player unable to progress the map, and the death missing one trap.

With this rule in effect, its making deathrun a more fun experience for many bunny-hoppers such as myself. And for other/newer players, who get slain without really understanding why or what they did incorrectly.

"5. Can I skip traps when a freerun is given by the blu team?

This is a huge no and here’s why:
  • It can be a fake freerun
  • It shows how and where trap skips are done to players who didn't know, which is not allowed
  • It can contribute to other bhoppers to skip on a non freerun round".

  • "It shows how and where trap skips are done to players who didn't know, which is not allowed"
but doesn't skipping already activated traps still show new players how to skip?

thats my opinion at least

Then you can also apply a sub-rule to rule 5, so add:

5a: Skipping any and all traps is allowed when death activates a specific button on the map, prompting traps to be disabled and a freerun to be initiated. Some maps do not have this feature, so when death announces "Freerun" into chat on a map that does not have this feature, then skipping the traps will not be allowed and players will be punished accordingly, regardless if the freerun is, or isn't real.

But even if it's freerun by a button, and people are allowed to skip, it still shows newer players the skip spots and how to skip each trap. They are new so they might think that's skippings ok and do it on nonfree runs and get banned. Idk, in my opinion, this suggestion would cause more problems than it would fix.

Sure, it does show newer players how to skip, but how would that be the experienced players fault? You are literally prompted to read to rules when you join the server. If the newer player does not read these rules thoroughly, then why should it be the experienced players fault? The newer players are really putting themselves at risk more than the normal players, cause they ignore the rules, and then skip the traps. None of this should be at fault towards the players who are good, it should be towards the players that are new and ignore the rules thinking its "fine"

Just because you want to skip a trap where you just have to normally jump over it? Stuff's getting funnier day by day.

Anyway, there's already another suggestion ongoing:
