Hello everybody. So, many of the Jailbreak players might have noticed that JB is slowly dieing. Thats why i'm making several suggestions now that may save the gamemode. Let's get started.

1. Update the plugin
The Jailbreak-Plugin got updated on February 28th 2016, and I think it would be good to get it onto the server. I'm not sure wich version is currently running, but here are the update notes for 5.5.7(latest one):

2. Add more Last Request/Fix existing ones
This is in my opinion a key point for the whole suggestions. Let's get to the existing ones:
  • Rapid Rockets Day: Rapid Rockets Day is like Hunger Games, the REDs only fight each other while Friendly Fire is enabled, but it's supposed that they get overpowered crit Rocket Launchers, have more health and start fighting each other in a chaos. I think it would be great if we have that. We could rework RRD to be like that and/or add a new Hunger Games LR.
  • HHH Kill Round: I don't know what it's supposed to be, but everyone thinks it's Hunger Games. Anyway, in the currently running version it doesn't pick a player to be warden, and if there is no admin to force a warden, it's a freeday for all, and we have that kind of LR already. HHH Kill Round should be removed.
  • Commit Suicide: It does nothing. This LR should be removed because you can just close the menu and it would've the same effect.
  • Freedays for others: If there are 3 freedays and one guard, the guard will mostly get killed directly. Thats why most guards leave BLU when they're the only guard and a RED chooses 3 freedays. These freedays will then get lost and the LR gets worse. If its possible, we could add a system wich locks a freeday to be chosen if there is only 1 guard, and only allows 2 freedays when there are 2 guards, and if there are 3 or more guards the LR gets unlocked.
Lets get to LRs that should be added(You can suggest more LRs or better Ideas for mine in the comments).

  • Low Gravity Round: Speaks for itself, it will lower the gravity of all players. Sometimes a custom LR gets chosen that says "low gravity", but these are only possible if theres a full admin on the server. I think it would be great if thats possible without an admin.
  • High Gravity Round: The exact opposite of Low Gravity Round.
  • Hunger Games: See Rapid Rockets Day.
  • Force Class: Forces the REDs or BLUs to be a specific class. Sometimes people try to achieve that with custom LRs, but not all players follows them. It would be great too if that would work, since it can have some fun results.
  • Hide and Seek: Basicly Hide n Seek without having to create a custom LR.
3. Nerf Medic in HG
If somebody chooses Hunger Games as LR, all REDs change to Medic because hes the best class for that minigame since he deals very high damage. But thats very unfair for the others, and it shouldn't be the special abilty of the Medic to be good in HG, he can heal REDs already. I think you should lower the damage dealt by him or disable random crits for him.

4. remove jb_carceris
It has too many ways to rebell, wich makes playing on BLU very difficult. Besides that, some of the Minigames are not working or are not playable. AND important minigames are missing such as Deathrun, Obby and more. If somebody has something against that, tell me.

5. Finally replace jb_fuckzz with jb_famous
More and more players are complaining about fuckzz, it's time to replace it already.

If that does happend then buff spy since he can't crit, nerf heavy hp to 200 and nerf scout movement speed. Otherways it is just punishing medic players.

I see so many people moaning about if somebody could go blue for rounds and rounds, moment someone does decide to go blue after everything, people just go scout and rebel 24/7 in massive groups mostly the people who request people to go blue.
 
the fact that we're still running 5.4.0 is that newer releases are buggy or features have been removed/arent working correctly.
 
Isn't Medic the best class for hunger games because the hitbox is fucked up for every other class? Medic deals the same damage as 6 other classes anyways

it would still be nice to work on it even though i didn't return on jailbreak since i resigned, medics won hungergames like 85% of the time =/
 
5. is done, and jb_famous had a very good start. The players like it.

I still stand heavy againts nerfing medics
 
The only "advantage" medic has is health regeneration and a medigun (used for teaming), the hitboxes are all the same. Demo, engineer, spy, soldier and sniper are all outclassed by other classes in HG. All the other classes have different "advantages/aspects" you could use. For example: a heavy has more health, a pyro has more health than medic but does not have health regeneration (still has some good weapons like the backscratcher and the powerjack) and the scout has a speed advantage (you can time your attacks better and run away).

So it would be stupid to only nerf the medic because then just one of "the other classes" will get played all the time.

The main problem in HG is random crits IMO.

The funny thing is is that people can switch classes to medic before HG starts, unless it's not an LR. Then it's just your fault for picking an outclassed class.

Solutions: - Always be one of "the other classes". Ofcourse the one with the playstyle you prefer.

- Make all classes the same (speed, health, damage) not recommended at all.

- Even if you still want to play one of the outclassed classes u can still win with: brain.exe (recommended), luck and skill.

Edit: Oh and 5 votes is way too less

I wont remove jb_carceris since im developing a fix for it, its already uploaded to the staff and kevin, only needs to be tested and reviewed....

The problem is not the number of votes required, but the voting system itself.

According to the thread, if there are at least 5 votes for a specific change, the change should happen regardless. But this also means that even if 100 people were against the change, and only a group of 5 friends agreed to the change, the change should still be made, according to the voting rules of this thread.

Also, in the poll, there's no option against each of the changes, so the guys that are against one or more changes cannot vote, which is not a good and fair thing for a poll as far as I can tell.

Removing carceris is an option as a lot of the minigames aren't functioning properly. If you are working on a fix, that's great, but it may take a while for it to be fixed (by you or another person), and it may take longer for it to be implemented into the map rotations.
