Look. I’m going to admit my fault and say that I made judgement on the map based off the playtests and not true gameplay.
I played today, alongside some friends like
@koe @dachTAT and
@Gale . I joined in, midway, someone gave LR. I’m like sure this seems fun. We proceed to have 8 failrounds back to back.
The map in its current state wouldn’t require minor fixes, but admittedly an overhaul on its mechanics and layout.
Due to the intentional design of not being able to shoot ppl from other planets, also means it leads to chasing rebellers a complete drag. We had koe chase a medic for 1 whole minute in a circle. The medic only died because they missed a star jump.
The map in its current state favors that of red team. A red can cause a failround bout 10-20 seconds once that pipe in cell spawns in. How is this fun?
Remove the “trickstab circle” in the sky, rework how the star jumps work, perhaps make it send them on a fixed path and not allow strafing, remove the bounce mechanic on lumas, and please make cell area closer to some minigames. It feels like it takes forever to get a red to a minigame purely because we’re having to restrict them from long jumping and trickstabbing us every 5 seconds.
And with that, I do agree removing this map now doesn’t make sense if it could be fixed by then, but a part of me feels like this map will not be fixed by the suggestion going through and for that, i’m voting for removal.
