Not at all actually. The only thing this game and quake have in common is the fact that both could be described as arena shooters. The xonotic community is more focused around instagib as well(and insta is absolutely dreadful in quake).

Like I said, circumventing a rule like that is incredibly easy to the point where the rule itself kind of looses its meaning.

I would consider everything that's on the elevated >spawn< area "reverse spawncamping" (what a ridiculous term) because else this rule wouldn't make much sense since circumventing it would be incredibly easy.

You can camp your own spawn with pretty much every class so rooting it out at the source seems impractical. I suppose it'd be enforced the same way that the normal rule against spawncamping is enforced? I don't really see the issue there.

We shouldn't, as it is indeed an issue that needs to be looked at. Instead of banning weapons and/or classes one could do the logical thing and ban the action itself.

Fixing the map is impossible. The only way to "fix" the issue described here would be to allow the other team to go inside your spawn, which is not really an option for obvious reasons.
