Name of your Banned Steam Account: Blizz
Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:54916482
Date and Time of the Ban: I don't really know, a time before August I think
Reason about the Ban: Not entirely sure
Admin that Banned you: I don't remember his/her name
Why should you receive a unban for the ban / gag / mute: I'm not entirely sure why I'm banned from joining blue, but I must have done something that I would be remorseful of. I try to be as disciplined as possible. It's pointless to get a rise out of someone to fellate yourself for a brief period of time. I haven't been on TF2 since August due to college.

Ban Time: 2018-05-28 22:42:46
593 / 720 Minutes remaining
Reason: Baiting/Failed

Ban's from @Travis

Guardbans are time spent alive on the server
Ah. Well, I think 10 months is more than enough time to reflect on what I must have done. I'm more than aware of the nuts and bolts of being a guard. I've been a veteran of the jailbreak mod for several years with various gaming communities. I wouldn't be much on the server let alone the guard team for 12 hours straight (converted from minutes). So I guess this is asking for a reduced length that's compatible with when it was issued. Thanks for explaining to me.

This is a throwback and a half doing appeals.

Anyways, if I placed it as a 720 minute, chances are you did it before and I just increased it. Also seeing how you have 593 / 720 Minutes remaining, and it has been 9-10 months tells me you really haven't been playing much at all. The time goes down while you are alive in JailBreak, so in 10 months you were alive for only 2 hours...

You can reduce his time to at least 240, but not an unban. There isn't much to show that he was willing enough to keep playing to get a better understanding or just show dedication to the jb server anyways. 2 hours in 10 months? nah.

12 hours alive in total is still a questionable ceiling to put. In a game mode like Jailbreak, the preponderance of players are generally dead within a few minutes and have to wait for the round to end before allowing to continue running the clock. This does not include the times being freekilled. To ask for them to be alive let alone on the server at all seems, to put it mildly, absurd.

"he was willing enough to keep playing to get a better understanding or just show dedication to the jb server anyways. 2 hours in 10 months? nah."

I've been a veteran player of jailbreak communities for about 5 years. It's not hard to grasp the do's and don't's of Jailbreak collectively. It's not like trying to learn Advanced Calculus. I want to rejoin the blu team with a more considerate mindset. In addition, not everyone will be playing Jailbreak every day for most of their time. We have our own lives outside to tend to. Having a system that more or less frustrates people when trying to stay alive once they've come to their senses is essentially counterintuitive to rehabilitating offenders. Frustration in a rehabilitation program can negate the understanding of morality making the ban overall, useless. It's an avoidable risk for the one issuing the ban and saves them time from having to redo the same process again. It would make sense if it was, like the case of being banned from the server altogether, done by time being dead AND alive excluding being on spectator. That way they can observe guards, prisoners, and admins from an omniscient point of view. If I didn't care about the jb server, I wouldn't try to find improvements to rehabilitating offenders and overall anthropological growth of the player base. I don't have to have a conservative attitude to care about the integrity of a servers wellbeing.

Also, I think this was my first offense for all I know. I do not remember receiving any previous disciplinary actions on me with this community.

Small correction as this might of caused some confusion. Its time spent on the server, you do not have to be alive for the timer to tick down.

That seems more reasonable then I guess

If that's the case then the plugin isn't working as intended. It used to and is supposed to be time spent alive.

Hello there,

You've connected once since December 2018 (albeit 2 days ago) and I'm sure I haven't played with you. I'd like to monitor your behaviour first before reducing or removing your guardban, if you can prove to us you're at least a little more dedicated to playing here then I'm willing to reduce the time. I'll leave this up for a few days to see if you connect any more & we'll be watching ;-) If anyone has any further information regarding this appeal please contact me to unlock the thread.

Closed for now.

Player has shown no interest in the Panda servers, haven't seen him on since the appeal was created & 0% activity on gameME. Should you find interest in Panda JB again some time, you may appeal again.

Declined.
