in the night of saturday the 3rd of december at around 3-4am i will perform the major migration of all panda web-related services to a new more performant hosts which has more high quality bandwith and hardware aswell as a better ddos protection (incase ever needed).

- Staff site
- SourceBans
- Status
- TradeRep
- Database connection between gameservers (temp. no access to SourceBans/Donator related perks)
- any other panda related web service
Whats the benefit of this whole migration?
- Dedicated Server Tier 3
- upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 (several security enhancements, native PHP7-CLI etc.)
- faster and more reliable off-site backup storage
- persistent DDoS protection which is permanently active and re-routes toxic traffic through various scrubbing centers (if we wish so)
- full native 1Gbit uplink instead of being capped to 240MBit upload (pretty shit considered that the FastDL ran off it which sometimes caused load spikes due to all of the 240MBit being allocated by downloads)
- more fine-tuned mySQL server which aswell should increase the query speed through our large databases
- future proofness due to VMWare vCenter abilities (failover scenarios etc.)
Why am i doing this?
- expandability for the future
- better usage of server resources
- to get rid of the current 3x 120GB SSD RAID0 volume (giggedy)
