Declined [JB] Map additions from Nostalgia November event (3 Viewers)

So as you all probably know, we currently have the "Nostalgia November" event on right now!
This poll is just a quick look at what maps (if any) you guys and gals would like to see added into the regular jb map pool.

Some maps aren't present in this vote. These include:
- ba_jail_hopjb_b5
- ba_jail_wip_a6v4
- jb_bunker_b3
These maps wont be added back in due to either; A newer version of the map is in the pool. Or they are deemed un-fit in their current condition.

As for ba_jail_wildwest_v8a1
This map is currently in the vote because; if we are able to fix some of the bugs on the map, and you lot would like it to be added, it will be added.
But if either one of those conditions isn't met, the likely hood of the map being added is reduced.

As for jb_bootcamp_v5a
Currently we have the event using the v5a version of the map. But if the vote for its addition passed, we will instead be using v6 due to it being better in many aspects.

As for Wildwest, playing on it again I feel it has potential to be decent if it’s possible with stripper to fix the armory platform and remove the buggy train.

Most the maps that were added are just outright bad by todays standards.
I get the nostalgia for things like chretien, but we gotta let it go man. All the minigames are 1 time and can be activated by reds with no buttons in an actual blue side. The entire match just turns into reds hitting the button, game broken, go to the next minigame, repeat. Its fine for like a week but putting maps like these into rotation full time when they were clearly removed for a reason is just plain stupid and the definition of nostalgia blindness.

im voting none of the maps here.
look at the removal polls of all of these maps on the forums; they were all removed for completely valid reasons; most of these maps have ludicrous sniper sightlines or just outright have dead ends that inevitably lead to blues demise.

im standing by my opinion that these aren't good maps and shouldn't return to the server.

it's a map with HUUUGE sniper sightlines, half of the minigames aren't even fun and it's overall just kinda bland

Nobody enjoyed playing on these maps when they were fresh.

Complex I enjoyed personally, but it’s barebones

Wild West is cramped as hell and generally isn’t fun beyond its minigames

Spy vs spy

Bootcamp is way too open and was outdated almost as soon as it came out

Chretien is INCREDIBLY outdated and was generally a slog to play on


Granted, I haven’t played the event yet, but I remember all of these maps when they were originally in rotation

Chretien is the only one I'd give my thumbs up to atm. Haven't gotten to Wildwest (so could change that to a yes), but I know all the other maps for what they are.

Chretien is undeniably more fun than some maps we have on rotation currently.
If we trimmed the map pool such that Stormfront and Xmf were gone, then Chretien would feel out of place.
As our map pool stands now though? Yeah, let's Chretien it up, it's fun every now and again.

I mean... these maps were removed for a reason.

I don't see any of them really fitting within the level of polishing I'd like for future JB map additions. And while yes I still love Chretien with the bottom of my heart it's also pure goddamn nostalgia to one of my first JB maps ever played. I'm happy to get to play on some of these maps again but by GOD isn't it also making me remember why I was glad to see them gone.

British could not have said it any better. I went in with the idea of Nostalgia November just so that we'd have legit a few weeks out of the year to play on these maps again for Nostalgia sake. It is literally pointless if we then vote to readd them to the normal rotation post-event.
