Pretty much what's on the tin. I'm personally tired of people voting for a map and once we change to it they instantly RTV off of it. Even worse when players then go on mic and ask people to "rtv off this shit map", but that's a topic for another day. Maybe that with the cooldown in place people might pay more attention to what they're voting on.

My proposition, if possible, would be to add maybe a 10 to 15 minutes "cooldown" on the rtv command after a map change; in a similar fashion to the rtd cooldown. Ideally, though, it would be a 15 minutes one.

I don't really see any downsides to it other than maybe hitting the player count during certain maps. But that's an issue that's always going to be an issue. So... yeah.

Feel free to discuss stuff in the comment section. Blah blah yaddy yadda.

i had 8bit insta'd rtv on my birthday so im saying yes cuz im petty from that still

playing 10 minutes of quake and underjail? im gonna pass out on that one..

I vote YES on this one. We hear people say all the time "I'm sick of hop/mlcastle" and proceed to insta RTV 8bit (srry SYM) or any lesser played map. This would help people get adjusted to newer/less played maps

they don't know ball, 8bit is high A Mid S tier map

This is literally only a suggestion because maps that you guys like get rtv'ed. I would like to not be forced to sit on Miami for 15 minutes lol- players usually just press 4 because its the first option not because they actually want to play it. Its why maps sometimes get insta rtv'ed. If people want to vote for a map and it happens to get instantly rtv'ed I don't think its a problem, taking control away from players to do that would be weird.

Voting Yes!
I hate the slew of unfunny people rtv'ing a map they don't enjoy because its "funny" and getting people in on it just to make it back to the same map we just played or a diff map they joke about for thirty seconds before logging off.

Just realized that this should've been in Suggestions and not in here goshdamnit.

Supportive of this idea. Sure love when we go to a map and then immediately leave it because “map bad!” just to go to an overplayed map like Hopjb.

Voting no because people vote for garbage all the time and then realize their horrible mistake.
Or when nobody nominates any maps so people just click 4 and we end up on crossroads or underjail.
If the people on jb dont wanna play on miami, its gonna be a miserable experience anyways, so just let the people rtv.

Everyone using Miami as an example of a bad map seriously guys Miami is not that bad

Miami is the only reason she made this suggestion. I brought it up to say that if the people dont wanna play on a map, then they aren't going to be fun to play with, or they're just going to leave, so forcing them to stay on a map that they dont like (i.e miami) doesn't help at all.

10 - 15 minute cool down?? You're forcing the playerbase to play potentially up to two rounds until they RTV off of a map? Oh the humanity!

I don't see much of the issue. But truthfully, its also, if the playerbase voted for a map, they should also be able vote to RTV whenever they like.

I dont see the problem with this suggestion, its a 2 minute freeday and a potential 1 round? Whats so bad about that?

Not everyone has the same taste in maps dot dot dot
